please can we stop this ridiculous habit of announcing the MOTM award over the tannoy with 3 minutes to go. What effect it must have on the other player must be disheartening................
Also, I have to say the repeated case of giving it to Chris Burke nearly every game is pathetic,Last night against Ipswich eg. he had an awful game,(along with most of the others) yet still was given it, when without doubt Keith Fehey, who has responded well of late following the terrible abuse he has had,was clearly the Man to choose.................3 minutes from time. But wait after Big Zig scores his second and the winner,he is who we'll all remember when we look back at the end of the season at this game...
Or do you all like it and it's just me?

Probably do to with sponsorship arrangements. Probably think people will not pay attention to it after a game because everyone is too concentrated on getting out of the ground. I think the timing of it is fine.

Its all about opinions....

Fahey? Without a doubt? Without a doubt from who?

Opinions are personal and sometimes best kept that way....

Davies was mine - its all about opinions....

You're right mate, we all see things in a different light - it can even depend on what angle you watch the game from ie. behind the goal or on the Kop.

Zigic was miles ahead of any of the rest of our players last night, won a hell of a lot in the air for once, scared the Ipswich defenders to death, got himself two goals, and could easily have had another 2 more.

1st - Zigic

2nd - Fahey
3rd - Davies

I think they must have felt a couple of Berks when the decision was met with a collective "eh?" or "Whooo?" ;)

My point was not aimed at Chris Burke getting the MOTM (every week) but the fact it is announced before the end..................and with 3 minutes + 4 added time things can chance and ofton do at The Blues.

I think this is common practice at all football matches.

I'm fine with it.

Also, when you watch a match on TV, the ex-professional commentator always gives his choice for MOTM (which isn't always the same as the 'home teams sponsors choice' for MOTM) with a few minutes to go.

Slightly off topic can someone tell me how MoM is chosen. Is it still done by text message?

Everyone has a debate based on how the players have played, who's done well, who's had an off day, and after 86 minutes they annouce that the man of the match is Barry Ferguson.

Or Chris Burke.

I wish they wouldn't announce the attendance towards the end of the game. Specially when the place is half empty (or half full depends how you view your glass).

This.

The spanner of a tannoy anouncer needs to stop this. All it does is give the away fans more ammo to ridicule us with.

Who's bothered anyway? If you're that desperate to know the attendance then you can find it out very easily after the game.

If our attendance on the home game is higher than the attendance in the away fixture (either that season or season before) I'd like them to mention it when they anounce the crowd......would stop a lot of the chants we get from the away supporters every week!.....i mean we got barracked by Peterboroughs supporters at St Andrews, imagine if we'd played them away first and less than 12k had turned up to watch!

"Todays attendance is 18,090. thank you all for your support. Oh and by comparison the attendance at Peterborough in the away fixture was 6923 less than todays game".......shut a few of the travelling fans up I'm sure!!!
