Thing you have to remember is they plan the show before the games. they then allocate resources to film the game they've choose to cover in depth. Ours wasn't.
However, its still no excuse for having it way down the list

Yep, it's the list position which is the more baffling, not so much the highlight lengths (although they were really short and could have been longer to show some build-up to the goals).

I don't think it's fair to compare sky and the BBC in terms of sports coverage! the BBC probably has 5% of the budget sky does!

like I said I'd just call the football league goals show, and just show the goals from every game with maybe a couple on incidents from any game!

In fairness, you cant really compare BBC and SKY, BBC is more of a quality programme supplier, like all the Attenborough stuff.

BBC, quality? P'ah!

Stop being a grump

wouldn't be anything to do with us beating a London team SIX-NIL would it???

why is it a joke? There are are 72 clubs to cover it is the Football League Show, not the Birmingham City show.

I like it as I get it on BBC iPlayer on my phone. Watched the goals when II woke up this morning.

got to agree with this!

if you want better coverage I'd guess bluestv has extended highlights!

Bbc can't send the amount of cameras and production staff to provide extended highlights to every ground in the country on the chance there a cracker somewhere! they have to select 2or 3 games and hope they turn out to be good!

if I was in charge of the show I would scrap the extended highlights of any game and just show goals and incidents of all games to make it fairer!

I'd agree but surely 6 goals plus 2 reds that are potentially contentious should come before the short highlights of a doncaster cardiff goalless draw

No

The great thing about the show is that they go in league position order..............so it makes it so much easier to hit straight to your teams game on iplayer, or when recorded.

My word Loveridge.........up stairs for thinking. You do surprise me.

FLS is different to MOTD, it is in league order and importance, not entertainment value of the game. remember the second week of the season, getting 15 minutes for a fairly dull 1-0 win v coventry? we weren't moaning then, other teams probably were. personally i preffered ITV having the football league highlights, but i dont think we can moan about our time slot yesterday, after all at the start of the day it was 9th v 21st. and there were 6 goals but all to us and most of them coming late on. it was entertaning for us, but not for neutrals
