This could be an unexpected bit of money for the club.

Would that mean losing Myhill?

Yeah it would mean losing Myhill as he would be recalled. Would rather not sell Foster if it meant losing Myhill.

Paper speculation!

If Foster is to be sold in January Transfer Window £5m should be ignored.

QPR would expect to pay more for an experienced young international keeper. Hold out for closer to £10m.

If they are offering £5m and the terms of his season long loan to WBA don't block the sale then it would be good bussiness IMO. If Myhill has been signed for the season then WBA can't recall him unless they have a clause allowing them to do so if we sell Foster to another club.

It would be nice to keep Foster but the money will be needed to pay bills and if not then fund some signings whether for fees or loans. We are very thin on strikers aand should be trying to push for a top six finish with the players we have.

Let your heart beat strong and all that.

I wonder if Butland could finally get his chance if that happens?

If your look at there squad it is one of the biggest in the league so they must be looking to offload. Wonder if we could do a player and cash deal. Foster for 5Mil + DJ Campbell and Radek Cerny and maybe another fringe player like Danny Shittu (good cover at centre half id Ridgewell Leave's)

keeperwise we are adequate

We can and have in the past got promoted with doyle and we do have good forward options too so I dont think we need to add.

Upfront we have king and rooney (who showed yesterday his class with his strike) - I would also like to see redmond upfront as we know he has grweat power and accuracy from distance with his shooting but hisclose range finish yesterday was young michael owen-esq the way he opened up his body and slid it away, with his pace he could be our owen.

We also have creativity and goals from other areas - davies is on 3 and burke must also be on 3 or 4 goals too?

If we dont have to sell - then we shouldnt - we dont need additions imo

No we still need a pacey player up front, we have them on the wings. Good midfield now, one of the best defenses. Look marlon king is god BUT he cant do everything, him and zigic are both the same type of player (except when it comes to air) so if we had a pacey player to partner one of them it would be unstoppable, thats where dj comes in mind

wouldn't this mean making a loss on him?

Not good business, we took a keeper who wasn't a first teamer at Utd, turned him into a recognised first choice and international keeper and we sell him for less than we bought him?

No. No deal at that price.

We paid £4m upfront and the rest was on staying up and appearances etc (a further £2m).

Making a £1m profit is pathetic really.

Im not entirely sure that the deal could be done anyway, it would mean West Brom and West Brom alone would have to cancel Foster's loan deal, which I cant see them doing just because we want to sell him, even more so because they want him aswell.

QPR wont be able to sign him until the end of the season.
He has agreed a loan with West Brom till the end of the season and there is no recall option in the deal the same as with myhill!
As another poster said the only way this deal would happen is if West Brom Cancel the loan which wont happen as they wish to sign Foster in the summer and dont have a able replacement!
QPR can do a deal but the deal cannot go through till july 1st and we wont recieve any money until July

i was under the impression we could sell him if the offer is big enough.Maybe im wrong.I'd say do it if we can.Foster is history anyway. He's never coming back here so i dont care where he plays to be honest - including West Brom.ive no real love for them, and have never understood other Blues fans affinity with them either. I'd tend to agree with this...

He's worth double, West Brom have him until seasons end anyway, and I'd much rather re-evaluate things in the summer with this one...

Sorry, but Foster is the second best goalkeeper in the prem after Hart imho. Some of the saves he made last season not even Joe Hart could've made.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6wjxPPgvl0

By far better than any keeper we have at the club, 3 times as good as Myhill. If we go up he will be a MASSIVE part in us trying to stay in the prem. Apart from Hart i would say he is the best keeper we have ever had in living memory. I honestly can't believe people are saying that Myhill/ Doyle are as good or decent replacements, how short a memory do people have.

Not to mention that he actually WANTS to stay, and seemed to be happy to see out his career at the club before we went down, some of the saves on that video; Carlton Cole against Wet Spam, Sturridge against Bolton and the insane one against Newcastle are just ridiculous

Dont forget the Carling Cup final aswell!

Heroic performance in that one!

If Blues get back up this season, we're going to need him. To replace a keeper of that standard would cost more than we could afford.

Keeping him is the sensible option, unless we fail to get back up.

sadly it would be some unexpected money for Yeung. I am not too sure we, the club, would see any of it.

What has happened to all the summer transfer monies? what has happened to the Sky parachute payments? The seedy world of Carson Yeung.
