Breaking now all over the internet in london and birmingham. QPR are to launch an assult on ben foster for reportedly 4-6million. He is supposed to be on loan at west brom until the end of the season but as long as all 3 parties can agree, fosters loan will be terminated, Myhill would go back to WBA & we are stuck with colin doyle..... Can hardly say no as QPR are cash rich, he wants premier league football & is not like were couldnt do with the money at the moment... Gutted :( wanted to see him back in a blues shirt. |

So not only do they have to buy him from us they have to buy him from West Brom too? No chance. |

A bid from QPR could force Boggies hand? IMO, Id take the 5m and go with Doyle and Butland for the rest of the season. Colin is good enough for the Championship, he was unlucky in the past as managers have picked Maik Taylor/Joe Hart/Ben Foster in front - all top keepers. Jack will play for England one day, sadly not with Blues though (its Seaman all over again) but will hopefully he will learn his craft with Blues. Stuart Pearce I think has him in mind for the Olympics SQUAD? This season Boaz has made some great saves but also made a few howlers (like all keepers) I say lets look after our own keepers if they are good enough, my opinion.. :blues: |

Foster is easily worth double the amount being reported... It's a derisive and I'd say an insulting (supposed) offer, that I wouldn't even give pause to consider. |

sorry but where have you been in recent years its well known knowledge that he has got fitness problems . Its a reason he pulled out of the international scene to prolong his club playing career http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=b...uB2Ayq2Hf4hNKcA |

I've been around; keeping busy like... ;) I thought that was more a way for him to not come out and say he didn't want to be second choice behind Hart, and would rather focus his attention on his club... I mean he DID pass a medical to go to West Brom did he not? |

He's had a history of injury troubles (plus a lot of the 'ah im injured now its international week' type injuries too). He was injured once last season for us and had to come off at Anfield, thats all... he wouldve passed a medical here when he joined us from United and would have passed one at Albion aswell... |

Well now I'm thoroughly confused!  He did at least join West Brom didn't he? They have stated their intent to try and keep him should they stay in the premier league and Blues fail to gain promotion, haven't they? So he had injections last season... So did Barry Ferguson and I'm sure hundreds of other professional footballers. I don't see how that would be preventing them all from passing medicals. |

let's not forget that Arsenal were nearly 'stuck with' Doyle a few years ago.. he's not a bad keeper but has had to make do with bit parts as number 2 to some very good keepers, as has been said before.. this season i feel for him because with the manager's support and confidence i think he'd be an improvement over Boaz Myhill.. am never a fan of loaning keepers, it's the one position that should be your own as a keeper coming then going does nothing to cement a strong defence and - as seen in Doyle - the incumbent keeper's game and progress can be hindered. that sad, Hart was a good loan signing.. |

Only mention on the internet I can find is from trbalfootball which is known to be rubbish. Not even anything on the QPR sites. Least likely move imaginable. |

Can't see this happening, all parties need to agree to it according to Tom Ross. I thought a season-long-loan meant just that. |

The one thing that people are missing here is that Foster seems to be settled back in the midlands, don't forget he comes from the midlands and has more or less intimated he'd like to come back to Blues anyway. If he's likely to go anywhere it would be albion at the end of the season. I do have a worry that if Foster does come back to Blues it may stunt Butlands development and, although we'd have a very good keeper in foster, we may lose Butland to another club and, with every respect to Foster, I think that potentially Butland could be a much better keeper! My gut feeling is that it would be better for us, specially if we don't get promoted, to let Foster go for about £5M (or less with players) to albion and pre-season play Butland and see how he copes with behind the first team defence. |

Quote from tonights Evening Mail, "As far as outgoings are concerned, Liam Ridgewell remains on the radar of Albion & there is no movement on Jean Beausejour nor Ben Foster, who cannot be recalled from loan unless Blues, Baggies & the player all agree-which isn't about to happen." Which I think means that he has got to be recalled by us to be sold, and as he is on a season long loan can't see that happening. |
