Manager's abuse; when is it to far

I just wanted to bring up the question of abusing football managers and when is it too far. I ask the question because Ive seen some pretty low anti-McLeish stuff on YouTube. Now I appreciate as Vile manager and ex-Bluenose he is bound to be in for it to a degree but as supporters should we not try to show some dignity. After all if we fall too low what does it actually say about us. Surely we are bigger if we maintain a certain amount of respect rather than falling into the gutter.

I aggree Tony.

Everton fans marched against their board, but at the same time specified support for Moyes.

Blackburn fans went after their owners, Venky, and then straight after their manager with some sustained venom. Which I think is where the villa fans are coming from.

The blue-connection rankled a few blog writers since last summer, then the focus shifted to tactics, then to personality and I've noticed that since January, Lerner the owner is being vilified as much as McLeish almost.

Social network sites have jumped light-years ahead of the local print and TV media, who in the main tend to edit a lot of the bile, to the point now that there seems to be a seemless unity of the anti-McLeish/Lerner from twitter to Facebook to You Tube etc.

Goebbels would have been having orgasms if he lived today. 10-20 activists can create a flood tide of abuse, places where reason and debate don't exist.

All that is left is abuse.

The abuse is online Tony, imo.
Or yelled from within a crowd, but it's getting the crowd together that's important.

30,000 anti-McLeish protesters?? At the Spurs match??

:LMAO:

In many ways Alex brought this on himself! He made a knee jerk reaction and took an option that if thought through should have being seen as untenablwe.
If he relegates them then it will be back to jockoland swift style for him.
