city equalise then score to win and to go top

This is why we love football - what an afternoon. I am currently swapping texts with a Man City supporting mate of mine.

He seems to be quite happy. ;)

I need to change my drawers.

I honestly wanted to see QPR pull the upset though.

What a finish to the season that was! Qpr gave man c the biggest scare ever leaving them needing 2 goals in 5 mins. I am so pleased for the city fans.

if that was barca or real it would never have happened that way - they would have won 5-0 at a canter.

the prem is the only league in the world when a relegation threatened team can and do beat chamions etc and that was just amazing. It doesnt matter who you wanted to win, city or united, that lived up to all the hype and was astonishing! Literally last kick of the game.

Fantastically exciting but Man City have always been one of the clubs I have disliked.

Fairplay to them though they kept going and it was a tremendous end to the season.

I can’t begrudge City that win. After decades of seeing their closest rivals dominate English football and the sneering they would have had to endure from the United fans in that time they deserve a moment like that. They got great crowds even in the third tier, they're a proper football club with genuine supporters, not glory hunters (yet) and I'm pleased for them.

I realise a lot of people will be unhappy about the amount of money they have spent to 'buy' that title, but I know for a fact if some rich guy was to buy out Carson Yeung and do that for Blues I wouldn’t be complaining! If anything that fact it required almost a £1billion to turn an average club into a title contender just shows how unbalanced the game at the highest level has become and how hopeless a task it would be to expect anyone from outside the elite group to bridge that gap without a similar kind of investment. The big clubs have used their financial might to keep everyone else at arm’s length for long enough, now it’s time for them to experience life on the other side of the wealth divide.

RIP English Football.

Wont get many more days like that again now as City buy their way to more and more, and stockpile players

for me City's success was a knife in the back of the Premiership.. for all their faults you can't deny that Manchester United won their titles the proper way; it took years of hard work to get them to their first win - including some of the best youth development we've ever seen - and their neighbours across the way got lucky against Gillingham all those years ago, were given their stadium after the Commonwealth Games and then benefited from the HUGE cash windfall that being owned by a Sheik gives you.

if you can't win the title when you can go out and buy virtually any player you want then something's wrong; the fact it went to the last minutes of added time papers over a few cracks within the club.

i've had little respect for Blackburn, Chelsea and now City for the manner in which they've been able to win the Premiership.. all 3 were (less than) average clubs yet, 2 of them at least, are media darlings and seen as huge clubs whilst neither would be where they are without the wealthy owners.

again i agree with you, twice in one day. i dont mind who wins the league unless its villa, but i dont like it when thet buy the league. i have no axe to grind with city but there are no what i call city players in the team except for richards. when you think back to summerbee, bell, lee they would have died for the cause. but these guys are just there for the money end of. tevez would not have done what he did if he had the club and fans at heart.
the other thing that will annoy me is the fans will now say they have been there for 30 years and never missed an home game etc etc. where as a couple of years ago there were empty seats all around the ground. i said that to a city fan at work and he said oh its the away fans, they didnt bring many, and i said well its the only ground in the country then where away fans are allowed to sit all around the ground.
the shirts up here are coming out of the woodwork already.
one neighbour down the road has put up a flag pole with a city flag on it in his garden, i have never ever seem him wear a city shirt before.

Yes, without a doubt the most thrilling way to end a season. But this rubbish about buying titles...it's been going on since players swapped hands for money. Did Forest buy the European cup when they shelled out £1,000,000 for a certain Trevor Francis?
Well done Man City....

no but they didn't just go and get who they liked and sent a team (near enough) out on loan!
then there's the Tevez and Balotelli incidents - just think that it was a deserved title in terms of across the season but it wasn't built on foundations of youth, manager perseverance and nous.. a bit of a hollow one for me and i've no real like of either club - just City are Chelsea all over again but with more money!

Never seen anything like it...

I cheered Agueros goal like it was a Blues goal, what an ending to the season!!

I went to the pub to watch the second half. It was like an England game when I got there in the sense that it was fuller than normal, tense atmosphere and everyone wanting the same team to win...Man City.

That winner brought the pub down, it was unbelievable. Many hate Man U because of their fans - the club is a great institution and the football has been excellent at times in the past but it's their fans.

For me, I just hate the "Sky 4" and their excessive coverage. Man City are a change -- but I do know that come a couple of years they will have replaced someone in the "Sky 4" and it cousd well be Liverpool.

I just get tired of the same old, same old - which is why I desperately want Bayern to win the CL - so that next season only 2 of the "Sky4" will be in the CL.

Well done Citeh, and come on Bayern.

Most the people who "hate" United do it through jealousy how else can you dislike a club that has produced and had played for, some of the best players the country's ever seen? I make no bones about it untill Blues are in a position to challenge for a title i want United to win the league every year and win every game they play other than when they play us, the Beckham's, Scholes', Keane's, Neville's and most obviously Ryan Giggs aka God are some of my biggest footballing heroes outside of Birmingham City FC. City may have won it this year but all that will do is make Sir Alex hungry to come back next year even stronger.

I disagree it isn't jealousy.

I don’t hate anyone for supporting a football club and I don’t even dislike Manure as a club (as with all English clubs I want them to do well in Europe for example). However I do dislike a certain section of their fan base and it is the know nothing, arrogant glory hunting section who come out with statements like “how you can support a club that don’t win anything” and “your just jealous of our success”.

They then also pretend not to hear people when they patiently explain that the rest of us are not jealous (a bit envious granted) of the clubs success we just don’t like arrogant know nothing glory hunters who have never or rarely been to a football match. It is that section of Manures support that causes people to hate Manure not the clubs success.

It isn’t even unique to Manure and it is also a catch 22 - due to their success Manure attract a large section of fans who follow them simply because they are successful whilst never actually understanding what being a football supporter is.

It isn’t even the clubs fault - with great success comes great amounts of know nothing arrogant glory hunters.
