So Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in a great game in New York against Brazil last night, including the winner to make it 4-3...... This season, he has now scored a staggering 82 goals in all competitions and, whilst he may not be the best player ever, that you'll agree is some record!!! |

Messi is fantastic to watch and may well one day be the best but he is still behind marodona for me for one simple reason and that is he Plays for the best side ever whereas the former played for a poor side and still won things! Napoli have never recovered their past glories just to illustrate how good marodona was! If he had Played for a side as good as Barcelona the mine wonders how much more could he have achieved! |

This, when or if Messi proves himself elsewhere than Barca in La liga ( like Ronaldo has ) then he can be considered better than the Pele's, Maradona and Bests of this world. |

Yes he did but they were not the team then that they are today! In those days the Italian league was the best in the world. Juventus and both Milan sides were massive Napoli were like blues if you like; that's how good marodona was. |
