Born Blue Live Blue Die Blue, but England are the only other team I pay the slightest bit of excitement to.... Thought we were adequate against the French, pretty much bossed the first 30 mins and pretty much winged it for the last 30. We were unlucky not to win really, had Mr Hart seen that one coming, he'd of dealt with it. I've gotta admit to being fully in support of Mr Hodgson's appointment. When the poor chap was at Liverpool, he was who the word 'beleaguered' could've been invented for. Did you see his face? Ha ha!! So come on England, give us something to get excited about, raise yer game, never explain and never apologise... Lets stick it up 'em!! |

Only chance to go now is if we get to Final! Got UEFA ticket so now just the small matter of England getting there. C`mon England & KRO |

After watching England v France I can only see the usual disappointment to which we have grown accustomed. The basic ball control of English players is not up to scratch. It would take a generation to bring our players up to the required level. The whole system of teaching children how to play football needs changing. It was summed up when Milner went through and missed an open goal. We can create strong, athletic players but they are not supremely comfortable with a ball at their feet. I had the same feeling when Zigic was about to take a penalty in the Europa competition. "No! No!" I shouted. "Not him. He is not a footballer." Instant and close ball control, along with our athleticism and hard work, and we would conquer the world. I am available when Roy gets the sack. |

Very good game to watch, not a great performance though by England but deserved to win in the end. Walcott was superb when he came on, his goal was well struck but should have been saved by the keeper. Seb's cross was great for the goal, and I thought Hart looked very nervy at times (curse of the English keepers). Welbeck's goal was class, probably the goal of the tournament so far. He definitely meant it as well, no fluke about it. Still a lot to improve on if England are to be genuine challengers. |

John Terry is an utter liability, is slower than a lame tortoise and has the turning circle of the Ark Royal. |

John Terry - England Player ? That the London Media once suggested he was better - (not equal to, but better) - than Bobby Moore still makes me shudder in disbelief. The guy was a thug, is a thug and will be a thug. And as he gets older and slower, that thug quality is becoming more obvious. A year ago he would have got away with the knee in the back, elbow in the side, his usual trade marks, but nowadays he isn't as slick and is getting spotted. Bullies and thugs always get caught. I think that Hodgson's really weak and feeble explanations for Terry's inclusion has more to do with FA politics than preferential choice. Hodgson has spoken more eloquently and at greater length about almost every squad player, except Terry - where he has only muttered and repeated - the mantra about "football reasons" for including Terry. I personally think that his presence in the dressing room, although weakened nowadays, can still undermine ANY new captain or leader. Like having Thatcher supporting and standing behind Clegg. Ugh ! |

Its intolerable having to see the scumbag Terry in an England shirt. Im watching England with total hatred for a player playing for us. Hodgson should never have taken him. Shame on Hodgson for that, which has ruined the whole tournament for me and many many others. If we win, it will mean nothing with that **** in the team. |

Cods Wallop! You support a team with Marlon King in it, it's easy to separate the man from the player and still enjoy supporting the team. |

Yeah you are dead right, as much as i despise Terry, no one is bigger than the team.Personally i think Gerrard leading the team out will upset Terry more than the fans hating him. Enough said KRO England all the way.. |

Oh totally, I cannot stand the man that is Marlon King, but I like the player. The difference between Terry and King is that I can't stand Terry the man and I think Terry the player is a waste of a shirt. |

Pretty obvious that Hodgson's hands were tied regarding the selections of Rio and Terry. Just a shame that it seems the FA are so far up Terry's backside that alleged racial abuse doesnt even change that. |

Terry did have a good chance against Sweden, the Sweden goalie pulled off a miracle save. Then again, almost doesn't count. I've said many times that Terry shouldn't be on the national team but I'm not English so it's not really my place to comment on. Rooney will return, wonder what that will mean for the team. He's a pro, and not a kid anymore, ought to be a positive influence. B) |

:applause: Well said fella, to a point. Hodgson is a hostage to fortune. I respect few journos like, but amongst the few that I do respect, - Winter on the Daily Telegraph said back in February, that Terry should not be in a million miles of an England Squad. That was at the time when rumours were begining about Cappello leaving. When it was Hodgson's turn, Winter and a guy from The Indpendant both slammed Roy's choice to include Terry. These are guys well embedded in the FA 'court circles' - so how much do they know like? Neither would seek a cheap headline at this point in a tournament, but I expect they will let loose as soon as we are out. Especially on the Terry inclusion, which wasn't warranted by form. Lescott-Jagielka, yes Ferdinand yes Terry - never in a million years. **thumbup |

BBC/Sky/ITV etc. are still going on about how lucky we were the Ukraine goal wasn't given, so I have to ask. Am I really the only person to notice the guy was at least a yard offside? Thus had the goal been given we could justifiably claim to be very unlucky. |

It was an offside my friend, barely over the halfway line - but it wasn't given, play moved on. I can only think that the 20th Official, or whatever number these substitutes for technology are listed as - must be the grandson of the Russian linesman in 1966. :) |

Great silence from the London press concerning their old "Lampard v Gerrard" space filling articles. Imo, Gerrard is the most consistent and admirable player for us this tournament, and the ink media have been very slow and quite begrudging in their recognition of that. As a PS, I loved Mad Mick McCathy's comment about BalloBonkersTelli. " He's like caviar and cabbage - you don't know what you'll get served" :D |
