The right outcome. I have read this case every day and it has to be not guilty.

I ain't that keen on Terry but justice has been done.

A bit tenuous like to start proceedings with unsubstantiated evidence.
Almost like circumstantial.

Loath and despise the man, but considering no boooger else heard anything or came forward - right verdict.

I hate Terry, he is overrated and only because his a Chelsea player that he got away with it. I feel bad for Anton Ferdinand what is his career in the premier league end up now, Wayne Bridge has already suffered from Terry sleeping with his wife.

Wayne Bridge hasn't suffered at all.

He's on 80k a week and is the most average left back in the country. He should be pinching himself, not only because of his wage but for his new fancy peice too!

This. Footballers need to learn from cricketers how to develop insults beyond monosyllabic grunting.

Jt proves again what a slippery c--t he is! So because it can't be proven to whom the insult was directed at he gets off despite it being evidently clear to everybody else!

Very bad day for eradicating racism from sport.

Well one good thing, it was the magistrates court and Johnthe Lad will have to fork out of his own pocket for his brief.

One of the most expensive in London old Carter-Stephenson QC.

Next time I'm up before the beak, I'd like a QC as well

Luis Suarez got a 8 game ban and a fine for his racist comments to Patrice Evra, despite it not being caught on camera, and no 'witnesses' coming forward to confirm/deny the allegation.

John Terry got caught on camera, saying the words "black c***", and witnesses on the pitch also confirmed this was said (as did the court) but said it was in a "non malicious way" and couldve simply been "repeated"... why would Anton Ferdinand call John Terry a "black c***" ?

Foreigner says it... punished.
Englishman says it... protected.

And thats coming from someone who CANNOT STAND Luis Suarez!

Simply the case should've never have reached the court, as there was no clear evidence either way for a criminal conviction.

If this had been kept solely within the remit of the FA, I do not doubt that Terry would be facing a lengthy ban, rightly or wrongly.

Whilst this decision is probably the right result on balance of evidence, it will move the campaign against racism in football forward not one jot, and that's not good.

Football still has a lot to do in terms of its racist and homophobic attitudes.

Only due to burden of proof, in court they couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that he said it abusively, whereas in an FA case it only needs to be on balance of probabilities, in which case he would probably have gotten the same or a longer ban (the latter imo) than Suarez
