Now the Scottish League is a one team competition I hope the media will forget about it and focus on better standard football. Scottish Football is such a poor standard so I've always been amazed by the level of media they receive. Personally i'd rather watch the Conference League (we get 1-2 games a week on Setanta here each week). |

Good to see ignorance is alive and well!! Scottish footy may not be at the same standard as the English Premiership I admit that but it's not as bad as you are making out. Maybe what we need is MORE coverage of it so you can increase your knowledge. At the end of the day nobody forces you to watch it! However I expect now that Rangers, the MOST successful football team in the WORLD, is no longer in it I would expect the coverage will decrease for next few years. No wonder some Scottish fans support "anyone but England" when we have to put up with superiority complexes like yours all the time!! |

Took the words out of me mouth Mrs F. well said. I,ve always thought Scottish football was a more exciting and genuine version of the Engish game. You dont see too many proper scots rolling around pretending to be hurt do you? and as far as skill levels go, well, we saw Spain recently bore everyone to death(the final apart) and they're suposed to be skillful. |

The makers of GoalRef and Hawk-Eye goal-line technology have told Rangers they can't use the system next season. Apparently it doesn't work with goal posts made from jumpers. :LMAO: |

May the Rangers situation be a lesson to all the Clubs out there that are not financially well managed.....Portmouth....and I include Blues in this category. I do have empathy for the true Gers fans, but lets be honest its a 2, barely 3 horse race every year. It will be interesting to see how many travel to some of those remote parts of Scotland to follow their team? They could be back in a couple of seasons? Sky will support the SPL for only one season without them. |

Clyde has the current biggest capacity in Div 3. 8006!! Most are between 3000-4000 Most with away ends as low as 200. They won't allow many even if they want to go! :D |

I watched some Scottish football last year, I really struggle to see the majority of teams as anything better than League 2. If that. It really is poor, argue it but from what I saw I believe that. |

I think that's true. I wonder whether Rangers should have, in fact, used this as an opportunity to apply to join the English league instead. That would have been interesting! |

MLS by miles. And the stadiums are better and the TV coverage is better even though (for us) it is the same network. And Mrs F, we see some of the Australian players that have been established is the Scottish League after they fail in England or elsewhere, come back here and can't even get a national league contract - and our national league is also poor. |

good call bud, i was only thinking that the other day. and if they were to be accepted what a snub to celtic that would be. be honest rangers may as well play in the english lowere leagues as play in the scottish leagues. |

I went to see Albion Rovers v Arbroath last season, and I have to say the Scotch pies were absolutely fantastic. A 1-0 home win spoiled only by the gale force wind and the unstirred bovril. |

Mrs F That comment was from an Aussie!! Also I asked him to explain a comment he left on another Rangers thread, still waiting for reply! Imho Gers only got what they deserved, the real losers here are Celtic with no real competition, I actually thought both the auld firm might have put more effort into coming down south, I know the prem was never a realistic option. But surely they could have paid someone in the conferance to step aside, bear in mind IF within three years they were in the Championship, the money would have been very significantly better than SPL. Chance missed I fear! KRO |

you would expect any away fixture to be moved to the nearest prem ground... it'll bring a lot of cash into the lower leagues if they get some decent attendances? |

:( Only some of our players stayed..maybe about 5/6 off first team possible candidates Main players & big earners left tho. We have signed a good few in last wee while but still far short on what we need. Over 40,000+ at Ibrox last night for our first home game. We won 4-0 so start as we mean to go on hopefully! **thumbup |
