They're playing a preseason game at Toyota Park :banghead: :banghead:
Thousands of miles away from Birmingham and it's the Vile that end up coming here.

You know I was tempted to, but I'd rather not contribute any money to them haha. Perhaps I can just stand outside of the stadium handing out copies of the newspaper headlines from after we beat them in the quarters :dancer:

My brother is going to the game now to cheer on the Fire...
I gave him my Blues home kit to wear :LMAO:
Can't wait to hear from him when he comes back.

:applause:

Just before I was goin to bed I checked the News Now site and me favourite wind-up blogs...and saw this...the villa are leading...but this made me laugh.

Quote:

The game drew dozens of purple-clad fans to Chicago, some making the 3,800-mile flight from Birmingham, England, while expatriates living in the United States opted for a drive.

Wherever their home, fans of the Birmingham-based team were delighted as Aston  opened a 1-0 halftime lead over the Fire before an estimated 11,000 fans at Toyota Park.

Purple ?

Dozens ?

Nite nite CB...I hope you've indoctrinated your brother, it's a burden a lot of us have :D

What a night! Probably the most fun I've had at a game in a while. I ended up driving up last minute with my Aunt.

So my brother wore the xtep home kit, I wore our previous F and C penguin home kit and holy cow were we takin the ****!

As soon we walked through the gates there was an outpouring of "pri*ks! D-bags!! BOOOO!!!! etc.". Think it mad them more mad we just laughed in their faces.

We were sat in the home end and at half time we walked down the stairs to right before the field and started waving to all of the Villa fans directly across from us for 5 mins.(I would say the away stand had a good 30-40 of them in villa home kits :LMAO: )
Anyways, they were agitated and a few sang but holy cow...they made NO noise whatsoever! There was a group from Ireland sitting next to their section that completely drowned them out!

The game itself was so poor. The Fire didn't really have any attacking threat and Villa never was clinical. To make it worse, Lambert's Limes were a real eyesore. YIKES. I noticed nobody opted to wear the away shirts in the stands.

Credit to the Fire faithful:
Villa's wide men started falling pretty easily for a 5-7 minute span in the second half so they started playing and singing the Tetris theme song! Brilliant!

Anyways, game ends and my brother and I purposefully wait at the gates and every Villa fan that leaves at this exit starts swearing or singing s*** on the city. A Villa mom called us little s***s :copno: A couple of genuinely nice fans realised we were takin the **** and started talking about how weird it is to talk to a Yank that's not a Big four fan.

Finally, the Ireland crew comes out and they're dying laughing. They all came up and give us both high fives. "LOVE IT!" Fire fans were havin a nice chuckle too.

Game ended **** 1 Fire 0 but it was a drab affair which Villa shouldn't take the much comfort in. I'll post a few pics tomorrow **thumbup

Maybe they can stay in Chicago (sorry Chicago Blues, you'd have to suffer for the greater good).

Rattled your cage a bit? That truly is the worst thing I've ever seen at football and quite easily outdoes most of the orchestrated nonsense seen on the continent. Just my opinion like!

Yeah, lets stick to 'Go West' by 'The Village People', thats much better.

Or several Nursery Rhymes that echo around most English football Stadiums most Saturdays.
