Steve Kean faces sack if Blackburn lose first three games

Blackburn's global adviser Shebby Singh says manager Steve Kean will be sacked if Rovers lose their first three games of the season.

Asked at a supporters' forum if Kean will be axed if they lose three times in a row, Singh said: "Yes."

But Singh added he will not rush to make a judgement about Kean.

"If, after three games, we have dropped nine points then we'll only have a 50% chance of getting promoted."

This person's knowledge and grasp of football is phenomenal. :boohoo:

Why let him buy 7 players and set such a silly public target?

I am begining to think that Venky's have got a collective, family screw loose.

I wonder who is out of work, manager-wise?

Genuinely cannot understand why people are talking this shambles up as promotion contenders. Take Yakubu and Hoillet out of their side last year and they would've been down by February.

Now Yakubu and Hoillet are gone and they still have a troupe of clowns in charge.

The relegated teams are always faves though Frans.

Because they have Parachute money, because they mostly retain a lot of "experienced" Prem players.

Us and West Ham were joint favourites for a week....then the Carson and Alex bit actually made the bookies shiver and we dropped to 10/1 before the season started. I think Chris' appontment may have raised us to 8/1 **thumbup

Lazy journos go along with their research, which is grounded on Bookie research, such as it is.

Middlesboro were once faves.

Southampton and Reading never were last pre-season.
I can understand why Blackburn is a fave amongs the no-nothing London media, just shows to go yer, don't it **thumbup

I actually agree with you.

I also think Blackburn will be there or thereabouts, but like with us, if there is any upheaval at board or management level then it will likely put pay to that.

Out of all the clubs, Bolton seem the more settled and ready to go. Wolves are starting to look a bit weaker now many of their 'star' players have either gone, or want out.

In saying all that, I still expect all the relegated clubs to be there or thereabouts. We'll be in the playoffs.

In another thread people are quoting some extraordinay odds for Blues, as Champs and so on.

These next two weeks could really put the cat amongst the pigeons as they say.

The way this transfer window has limped along it wouldn't surprise me to see most of the business done in the last few days. Wolves and Blackburn are both vunerable I'd agree.
