We have several new managers starting the season with new clubs. You have lambert at villa, hughton at Norwich, Avb at spurs, Rogers at liverpool and Laudrop at Swansea! Which of these do you fancy to get the sack first or which ones do you fancy to succeed? As some of you know I wanted Laudrop at blues after Hughton's departure therefore I am going to back him as the manager most likely to succeed. He likes playing an expansive game something Swansea are good at therefore less of a bedding time needed to settle in IMO. Roger's is a manager liked by many but for me Liverpool is too big for him I therefore fear he will suffer the same fate as Hodgson. Avb will also struggle to improve on Redknapps 4th place finish and could face a players revolt based simply on his Chelsea nightmare. Lambert may feel he made a mistake leaving Norwich. Hughton same as Lambert might find out the hard way that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I am going for ORoger's / Avb to be the first out of a job. |

Lambert deserves a chance at a bigger club than Norwich but might find it tough at villa as they expect so much, Hughton is quality and will o. Good job and keep them up. |

I don't think any of the new managers in the Prem will be sacked First. I think like an already incumbent prem manager will depart first. Out of the SIX new Prem managers (you didn't mention Clarke at WBA), I reckon like they'll all see their debut seasons out at their new clubs. |

To be fair all the managers mentioned including Clarke from west brom are good managers just feel some are at the wrong clubs at the wrong time! Avb for example did a stunning job before coming to Chelsea however due to the relationship the spurs players have with them at chelsea, is surely going to impact on Avb at some point during the season. I work at spurs and the fans have one mission in life and that is to finish above the gooners. They want and expect Avb to do better than Harry which for me is far too much expectation. As for Liverpool they hired and sacked two very good managers before appointing Roger's therefore if they apply the same principle he might survive until the season ends but that is it. There is no way that Roger's is better at the job of managing and picking a team than the 2 before him. I can't think of a time in premier league history where so many managers have started the season with new clubs. Makes for a very interesting season ahead. |

An added incentive to their wages is the prospective vacancy at Old Trafford. The managers in the Prem at this moment have a head start (on overseas blokes) and 24 months to stake their claim before Fergie abdicates. Who knows who will be in charge at Barca or Real in 12 months, so this crop from Hughes to MON to even Steve (if promoted) all have a chance at their No 1 target job. I think the debutants will survive, personally I think RDM will be the first out. December 24th just after villa win their first match of the season. :) |
