Now, I thought I'd dated some nutters* :LMAO: FORMER Birmingham City goalkeeper Richard Kingson has taken to Facebook to deny that his wife is a witch - after she appeared on Nigerian TV to claim her evil spells had wrecked his career and made him impotent. Adelaide Tawiah, who married the footballer two years ago, turned up on a TV preacher's show to claim she sparked her hubby’s loss of form with black magic. She said: “I messed up Richard’s life ever since we got married. I used my evil powers to trouble his career. “I’ve been working on him spiritually, to the point he could not perform in bed.” Richard Kingson, 34, was signed to Birmingham City in the 2007-2008 season. In August 2007, he made his debut for Birmingham in a League Cup third round tie against Hereford United. He played once in the Premier League, a 2–0 defeat to Portsmouth in caretaker manager Eric Black's only game in charge. At the end of the season, co-owner David Sullivan blamed the club's relegation on the quality of previous manager Steve Bruce's signings, and criticised Kingson. The player's contract, which still had one year to run, was cancelled by mutual consent at the end of the season. He then followed Steve Bruce to Wigan Athletic and in 2010 joined Blackpool before being released in 2011. He is the most capped player with his native Ghana, with 90 appearences and was the vice-captain of the squad. But since he was released by Blackpool last year he has been without a club and lost his place in the national team. Adelaide's confession at the Synagogue Church in Nigeria came as a controversial TV preacher called TB Joshua was casting out the “evil spirit” that allegedly had a grip on her. Richard, who wed Adelaide following the 2010 World Cup, yesterday went on Facebook to say: “My wife is not a witch.” He said people were often possessed by “false spirits”. Since last week’s broadcast Adelaide has also denied being a witch — saying it was the spirit that was being cast out that spoke. In a report in The Sun she said: “I can’t even remember what took place. “I am not a witch as it has been rumoured. My husband knows how inspirational I have been to him throughout his goalkeeping career.” Read More Meaning Evil *Disclaimer - present incumbent excluded. |
