Think I first recall him playing for WEst Ham in 64 cup final Then he went into management and developed free scoring Bournemouth team Ted Mcdougal phil Bowyer etc, bought Trev while at Man City who finished bout third in table. sadly he did nothing for us or burnley however respect to his family on this sad occasion.

RIP

John Bond, who was Blues manager from January 1986 to May 1987, has died at the age of 79. He was never able to match his achievements at Bournemouth, Norwich or Man City during his time at Blues but, for a while, he was one of us. RIP.

Thoughts are with Family and friends.
Not my favourite blues manager, but never the less he came into blues when we were in the ****, and took on a tuff job and a tuff board, and witnessed some of the worst of blues fans behaviour, a true football man who will be missed by many. RIP

He was a great character for the tv cameras and had he joined us at a different time perhaps he could have done something with blues.

He was an awful manager. I think he relegated about four different teams while he was in charge and I remember him being terrible at Blues.
When he took Shrewsbury to his old club, Burnley, the Police asked him not to attend, that's how bad he was thought of up there..

Have you been in touch with his family? Maybe they'd like you to give a eulogy at the funeral.

How come the dead are so wonderful and the living so vile? John Bond was a very unpleasant man and the poster is saying nothing less than the truth apropos his managerial record.
