UEFA Europe League Final: - Just over 9,000 ticket allocation for each finalist. - Total Attendence; 53,000 UEFA Champions League: - 25,000 ticket allocation for each finalist. - Total (Predicted) Attendence; 86,000 I personally think it's disgusting how little the ticket allocations are for each of the finalists. Could you imagine if we got to a Europa League final and not even every Blues season ticket holder would be able to get a ticket. As Gary Neville said on the tele too, 'It's a shambles'. :break: |

I agree. Personally i think Chelsea and Benfica's respective hierarchies should have got together and boycotted the final. Give two fingers to Platini and play their own unofficial final over two legs at each others stadiums. It's about time the football clubs took back control of 'our' game. But on the flip side of that the big clubs won't bite the hand that feeds them. |

While the ticketing situation is a shame for the many loyal supporters who will inevitably miss out, it's entirely understandable from a commercial perspective. The reason every club wants so desperately to qualify for European competitions, especially the Champions League, is not because they believe they can win them but because they know there is serious money to be made from participating. Money that comes largely from television and corporate sponsorship. These sponsors pump hundreds of millions of pounds into these competitions, which in turn boosts the prize fund and makes the clubs involved incredibly rich. Naturally these corporations expect some things in return for their patronage and a generous allocation of tickets to entertain their important clients and executives with are a part of that arrangement. If the clubs involved are that bothered about their supporters not being there they could always threaten a boycott, but I suspect their desire for even greater prize money ensures they don't. |

its like the fa cup its not just the teams in the final it is the FAs big day. all clubs contribute to the fa funds even none league clubs cause everyone has to be affiliated to the fa therefore its only fair they get to share the tickets. incidently every team in the league gets an allocation of tickets for the fa cup final including blues and as far as i know only liverpool out of 90 + clubs send their allocation back if they dont get to the final. so why dont other teams do that instead of moaning. and then when they get there maybe there will be more tickets for their supporters. |

It's pretty simple to solve Brad... All the clubs have to do is say "we do not want that much cash for being in this competition and in return we would like 45% of the ticket allocation should we get ti the Final" ...sadly the clubs are more interested in the finances than they are their fans. It's not just UEFA. |

It's still mainly Uefa though because clubs can't really put up a fight or else they'd probably be thrown out of all Uefa competitions. If I was chairman of one of the clubs in the final this year, I'd write to Fifa and complain. |

Yes, and I'm sure Blatter will haul his partner in crime, Platini, up before the world and thrash him with the birch. Parasites the pair of them. |
