Another blinding example of why our game needs a massive overhaul from top to bottom... The FA wont listen or do anything about it though |

The FA need shaking up ,Why are these countries coming through now,Because these countries realized a few years back that they needed to invest at grass roots, now they are reaping the rewards,Once the systems are in place its easy, Our system is old fashioned its set for what coaches were doing years ago, Why do you think young coaches now are going abroad and looking at bprogessive clubs and trying to fit those ideas into their own routines, All the Englands squads are coached in the same boring ideas that have been there for years,So n0o9thing changes and we are so predictable to play against, Even our own AQlex Mcle4ish a prmt example ,he never varies his style of play, even when he bought players with flair,lt was so frustrating to watch and some fans blamed the players. |

The relative people in charge of football in Germany realised they were on the decline back in 2002 when they lost the World Cup final in convincing fashion against Brazil (2002 WC is still the one where im convinced we'd have won it, had we had Gerrard/Neville there, and Beckham fully fit). They had a massive shake up...and basically writ off a couple of tournaments, putting a lot more focus into the U21 Tournaments, and bringing those players through. Now look at them. We had the chance to do that when we failed to qualify for Euro 2008... nothing. We had the chance to do that when we had an awful World Cup 2010... nothing. Insipid, boring, dull Euro 2012 campaign... nothing. And we'll head to Brazil (if we qualify), be utterly uninspiring as usual under Hodgson, and nothing will be changed! If they done the changes back in 2008... we'd be looking at a more prosperous, positive English set up now, on a par with the Germany's of this world. |

I know he isn't everybodys cup of tea but Glenn Hoddle did brilliantly for the full team and he should be respected in whatever he has to say. The sad thing is listening to Stan Collymore's analysis and it said everything we know already. He can't see what our grand plan is for success. He can't see how the players coming through fit into the full team.... This was not the case when looking at Germany, Spain and Holland for example. Lets bring Glenn back to oversee the youth team set ups. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...generation.html |
