Front page news in Spain according to Talk Sport, £10 mill per year, 6 year contract about to be signed.Bale apparently been talking to Real the last few weeks & agreed to sign. Nothing coming out of Spurs though.

If he does make the move, it'll be the worst thing he ever does IMO.

He's a brilliant player... but he's more suited to England and being the 'focal point' of a team... His style isnt the way Real seem to play... plus Ronaldo is boss at Real too.

Can't help feel his best move right now would be to Man Utd. They're crying out for a big name signing, especially someone who can operate on the wings or in the hole, just like Rooney could, seeing as he's seemingly on his way.

An interchanging advanced midfield 3 of say Kagawa, Young and Bale would be frightening, especially with a brilliant goalscorer like Van Persie infront of them.

Something like:

De Gea
Rafael -- Ferdinand -- Vidic -- Evra
Carrick -- Jones? (cant see Fabregas happening)
Bale -- Kagawa -- Young
van Persie

It's an interesting one tbh. Personally I feel he needs to go now as he is at the right age and moves like this don't come along everyday.

It would also provide Tottenham with some much needed funds to help with the completion of the new stadium.

The really interesting thing is that Ronaldo is said to want £20 million net in wages and according to Spanish officials Real cannot possibly afford to pay £85 mil or more for Bale and pay CR the wages he wants.

Lets see how this pans out.

I can't help feeling Gareth Bale is doing the right thing and moving to Real Madrid.

The lad is a perfect professional, oozing with talent and seems to be a bit more intelligent than you're average Brit footballer.

Real will be a great move him. In every sense - footballing reasons, personal development reasons and life-experience reasons. He's not a thicko like Rooney and I bet the Welshaman will be taking Spanish lessons soon.

Good luck Gareth Bale and I hope you win the Champions League this season.

Just imagine if we did buy Gareth Bale all those seasons ago when it was just us and Nottingham Forest interested in him.

It ain't going to happen, the real president has said he won't pay the money and Bale is not worth it,he's only has i good full season and half before that so no way is he a superstar yet and Real would be stupid to pay that much for him. Ronaldo and Messi have been doing it for ages and Bale is not worth more than any of them 2.
