When I was three years old I was given a book with the original Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer story. I had it read to me at Christmas and later read it for myself for many years.

When my own children came on the scene the book came out again and I started our Christmas tradition of reading it to them every Christmas Eve. They even insisted on it being read to them when they were older.

The tradition has continued with me reading it to my grandchildren, only now it has been extended to them drawing a story from the book after I have read it to them. They love looking back at their drawings from previous years.

If I make the grand age, I wonder if I will be doing the same with my great grandchildren.

Thats nice Blackie, sadly I'm a miserable sod and the only tradition is me cooking the nut cutlets each year.

My grandchildren make my Christmas. It's great to see the excitement on their faces.
