Well Harry another wasted afternoon following that carp. I think you are reaping the results that a wasted pre season deserves. You have been at the club for over four months and haven't managed to find a solution to no creativity in midfield, apart from chucking an adolescent from Everton in at the very last minute. You wasted all summer chasing African blokes we'd never heard of and then instigated a host of panic buys at the last minute. Not at all professional in my opinion. You've rubbished all the old Rowett players in public, and blamed others for not signing the players you claim you wanted. Time you looked in the mirror my friend. Today was hopeless and you set the team up half cock. Who was going to create in midfield? Davis and Lowe can't pass wind! The team ran out of energy again in the second half like every match this season. What happens in training? Becoming very disillusioned. Surely Bournemouth beach is a better retirement option for you. Don't you have a dog to walk or an allotment to dig? |

I am stunned by the negative comments on here and a loss away at a pretty good team.We bought new players in, these are not superstars but championship players. But, given time they will gel and pick up points. And what's this with the Harry bashing ...get behind the team and manager. Its a tough week with games but in some ways good to the new players plenty of real game experience.Kro |

You'll be lucky to get mid table the way it's going. Some very tuff games ahead, might have to settle for not being bottom after 10 games. |

I don't think people are upset that we've lost. I'm sure we'd all agree that it will take time for the new players to settle. It's the way we lost that is concerning. The game was effectively over after 5 minutes and we had to wait another 80 for our first shot on target. That, at any level is unacceptable. |

Redknapp out. Zola back in. Always my belief. Zola would have attracted the already established players if he had a preseason with us. I still stand by that belief. Let me quote this when Redknapp sends us down. Another wasted game, no progress, a dismantled squad. |

That early goal was the undoing of us. I wonder just how we would have done if we hadn't shot ourselves in the foot once again. |

I do agree with this. The early goal knocked the stuffing out of us a bit. Could of been a different game had we not conceded straight away. Frustrating. |

I'm starting to reminisce about Blues in the early 90s at the moment...I remember us getting relegated back to the 3rd division (twice) and this is all starting to feel a bit like that. It seemed then that it didn't matter what we tried to do, we just couldn't get results. My memory of those times is a bit hazy though as that's when I first started to go down to St Andrews. Does anyone else get those vibes? I'm still holding on to the hope that this is going to be a bit like the Barry Fry era, although he did get us relegated first! |

Well I've said before I'm glad I decided not to get up to follow games live this season. Really it is so depressing! And it's made even more so by fans getting so excited and hyped up by developments. I'd like to believe it too but..... wait until there are some good results. I have supported this club for around 65 years on and off, but since '98 and the internet, it's all been on. In those first 2 internet decades Birmingham were always either in the PL or in the top 6 of the Championship - never expecting to be mid-table let alone relegation zone! Wake me up when this is over - hope it won't be too late. :( *fingerscrossed* |

So what did we learn from yeterday? Very simple really, we don't have a creative midfielder who can manufacture the chances for the forwards......Ravel Morrison anyone? Harry knew this and it is the one, and most important, issue that he failed to resolve. That link between your solid defensive and effective strike force is fundamental and without it it you are not going to score very often even if you dominant possession which counts for nothing without goals. Unless he resolves this problem of a creative midfielder we are going to struggle. We won't concede many but we won't score many either. His only option now is to bring in the best creative midfielder that is available on loan and not be held back by financial constraints be cause without it all the other purchases will end up ineffective and wasted and we will struggle in a Division that takes no prisoners. The window is shut mate..there is no loan fall-back option outside the transfer window anymore- they scrapped it...only out of contract freebies. You're bang on - we needed an Acquah, Onazi, Badu, Song..it's been crying out for a top player in there for a while. An axis of Lowe & Davis brings nothing. Before this match many of us were saying not to expect things to click into place immediately. Our players are still getting to know each other and these things take time. The season will be decided over 46 matches, not one, so there is still plenty of time to improve. That said, it is important that we pick up points soon as constant bad results can become the norm if we are not careful. The surprising thing yesterday was that even though we had introduced more attack-minded players it was the defenders who took the plaudits. We also know that Harry was convinced we had solved our midfield general position with the signing of Song, only for it to collapse at the very last minute. Our people doing the negotiations on Harry's behalf must make sure that things like that don't happen again. Song could have been the ideal player to have a difference yesterday. Some people have commented that he brought in too many new players yesterday. I bet some of these people would have moaned even more if he had left them out. Let's not get too dispirited. This is Blues, after all, and we never do things the easy way. Let's give it a bit more time and get behind the manager and the team. |

It's not after one game though is it. This is a result of utter frustration at the way our football club has been run into oblivion by useless, faceless owners since Gold and Sullivan bailed out. |

**thumbup 6 games SIX its almost like people think that the first 5 don't count for this season because they were with the "old" squad its 6 and so far we are struggling relegation fodder and thats the facts of it Played 6 - scored 3 goals - less than any of the 3 teams below us Of course there is loads of time left to "turn it around" - but thats been said for each of the last God knows how many seasons Just as well as we are already 6 points off a play off place and we all know that unless we get at least that this season then Arry is the hell outta here and that would mean we will have wasted another season and another 15million plus quid. That will probably result in new owners, again, and the merry-go-round will start all over. Gotta hope that somehow this team gels and gels fast. Edited by bluenoseboris, Sep 10 2017, 09:26 AM.

They had two weeks of training together. Sometimes you just have to say when it isn't good enough. It's not good enough. Sort it out, Harry.. |
