And how many of you doom mongers went to the game and I dont mean on the end of a TV in some far flung shore.

I did not hear any chants of Harry out or giving the players a hard time.

The guy next to me agreed there are some real positives to work with.

This is day 1 of our season with a team that played together yesterday for the first time in a competitive game.

The team of poor players always trying to achieve the impossible is over.

If you want instant I suggest Man U or Spurs. This is Birmingham City the 2nd city owners of the industrial revoloution who gave civilisation to the world and we do not do instant.

Well then. I was enjoying myself yesterday travelling to Norwich on the train from Nottm in a positive frame of mind and full of anticipation. Within 20 minutes I was deflated, first of all I saw the team and it was a back four and 5 mins after KO we went 1-0 down.

I really thought we would be playing a back three with two wing backs. Having said that the back four played well. However it's too rigid to have a back four. I am sure Colin would make a good wing back. I do believe the team suffered from lack of game time together. Wouldn't it have made sense to make these signings in July and play them in a few friendlies? I do like having confidence in a goalkeeper - Stockdale looks good and has confidence.

My real moan or negative was Lowe. He's carp and should be nowhere near the first team. Oh, and it's pretty bad when you are 1-0 down and have to resort to Jukietcz to try to get a goal.

The team as it was will not improve or improve us. I believe we have the players but Harry needs to pick the right formation and the right players.

Pretty much agree Lowds but it was not as poor as some on here are trying to portray.

Lowe was not a good buy and it showed. But there were parts of the game that if we had that creative bit in midfield would have made a difference.

Our passing was far better. Yes alot of it in front of them but thats what builds confidence.

Only time will tell but I still have that positive feeling going forward.

You both sum up my frustrations with the management of the club.
Not enough done in pre season preparation and a load of new faces thrown in on deadline day is not a professional way to manage.
Some of these signings are bizarre, like Lowe. What did he bring yesterday that existing players in the squad hadn't got?
And you are correct we have been crying out for a creative midfield player since last season.
And yes I go to most games and feel entitled to moan when it is appropriate, which unfortunately has been too often of late.

Wouldn't it have helped Harry if he'd organised a couple of BCD friendlies last week to help the team gell?

They had two weeks of training together.

Sometimes you just have to say when it isn't good enough. It's not good enough. Sort it out, Harry..
One week surely

Reading through Harry's after match summary I would suggest many are getting carried away with the result from one match. He said 'in Jota we have a player with good ability but we need to learn to make the runs into the box when he comes inside'.

We apparently stood like statues watching. These are things we can improve on once they get to know each other.

Glass still half full for me.

Everyone on here who knows anything about football knew that Lowe was a poor signing and added nothing better than what we already have. I doubt he's even any better than the woeful Gleeson.

I can only assume it was a panic buy made in haste. The rest of them I'll withhold judgement until that have had half a dozen games but we are crying out for some creativity in midfield to supply the forwards with some chances.

I was there, I saw a bunch of players who didn't seem to know each other.

Once again the singling of new players has been interpreted as the signing of better players.

Based on the performances I've seen this season (including Saturday) I think we will struggle to stay up. I saw no positives, sorry. Ironically, at odds with the stuff above, I thought Lowe didn't embarrass himself. So why doesn't he get the fans opportunity to bed in? And don't get me started on Gallagher!

But hey ho, I'll be there again tomorrow evening, bracing myself

I wasn't expecting 6 new players to start to be honest, thought he might go with 3 or 4 at most. With 6 it was no surprise there was a disjointed look about us. Yet again an early goal has cost us and that is happening too much this season. Leeds will be a real tough ask as they are flying at the moment and we are still trying to get to know each other it seems. We need to see an improved performance by each game by the new players thats the main thing. I always thought it would take 6-8 games with all these new players before you could really see what we are going to be like

Saturday was only the 2nd time (from 6) that we have conceded in the first half....

We will realistically need until October to bed the team in. As someone who went to the match on Saturday I was surprised with the team selection- but if you buy players who are better than the existing team you do need to play them.
Not sure why Lowe is getting stick (probably from people who didn't attend) as he was tidy and confident on the ball for the first hour until he tired and lost possession twice before being substituted. Walsh looked like he will be a player but not in such an advanced role. Dean and Colin will be nailed on regulars and Dean will eventually take the armband as he is a natural captain. Jota will. E good once he gets to know the team and vice versa.
Boga - not sure - has skill but drifts in and out and is not direct enough to threaten, but time will tell. It's a long long season and absolutely not the time to be panicking

Morrison isn't vulnerable to anyone.. Redknapp likes him
We shall see
I think I am being proved correct. Dean took his place in the right side and he was shoved to the left.

That Harry is pursuing a left-sided centre back it looks like when he gets him Harry will play a three with Roberts in the middle. Morrison will then become cover.
