Hi again,

Just thought some of you might find this funny, I tweeted a while back that if we signed Jota I'd get Redknapp in his car window tattooed on my leg, and well, blues delivered so I thought I'd stick to my word!

Looks a bit funny right now but planning to get more added to the leg such as Carr lifting the Carling Cup etc.

I made a vlog on the tattoo anyway!

Watch the vlog here

I can't get over your accent.

I had a Brummie accent as a kid but it disappeared because I left the area when I was 18. I love getting it back when I go back to Brum... but what's twi..ah and ta..ooh? I think you mean twitter and tattoo. I know I left the area in 1979 but Oim shooah we say twittah and tattoo and not twi..ah and ta..ooh.

Haha, I get that a lot from people at work!

I moved to Tamworth when I was 5 and have lived there since so I'm not sure if it's a tammy thing? If it isn't, I don't know where I got it from 😂

It's the same with water, I pronounce it war'a

Is it just me or is there loads of vilers in Tamworth??

A lot of the lads whom I work with are from Tamworth and support those knuckle draggers

I lived in Tamworth as a lad and in my day (66 - 76) virtually everybody was either Blues, Villa, WBA or Wolves. Blues had a big following back then. Nowadays on the occasions I have been back to Tamworth I notice most football shirts being worn are Man U or Liverpool. There are the odd Villa but I rarely see a Blues. Perhaps Joe can enlighten us.

Tamworth is full of Villa fans...

As a kid growing up I'd find maybe one or two lads at school that were blues fans, the majority were Villa.. It's still the case really!

My God, how things change. As I said previously when I was a lad at school it was Blues and Villa with some WBA and Wolves.

I remember one year Blues got Pompey away and Villa got Soton away in the FA Cup 3rd round. The local Tamworth coach company advertised coaches to the games and on the day there were 3 coaches for Blues and just the 1 for Villa. That's how well Blues were supported. I do know that virtually all the folk I knew and went to games with stopped going in the early 80s and to compound matters they never encouraged their sons to go as they had lost all interest. I really do think that those dark days of 83 to 96 lost us so many supporters not just those that used to go but the future generations as well. Meanwhile Villa were winning the league, European cup and league cups.

If I move, the number of Blues fans in Tamworth drops even more! I have to stand my ground ;)

Exactly, but at the same time those that stayed loyal to the Blues remain. A core of proper fans, I guess that's why the Villain's always kick up a fuss over nothing and get the bedsheets out whereas we stand strong through tough times ;)

Hahaha, as I say, I deserve the stick!

It got this due to losing a bet though, I kept my word and got the tattoo - I knew there was a chance it could go wrong!

However, I think he should have been given more time, and he kept us up, so it could be worse!

Also, it's only a bit of ink lads ;)
