If the legacy players were saying preseason was too undemanding then that, logically, could have lead to our poorer second halves. With so many new players having their preseason elsewhere that would be consistent with the Leeds second half.

With the hamstring injuries are they down to preseason? Well Jota's was at Brentford. Poor prematch conditioning or bad luck? Surely professional players know how to prepare their bodies?

Is it the new fitness guys? Perhaps. But I wonder if is it just too convenient to call it as them?

thought about this earlier, because the new spanish fitness trainers have been catching all the criticism.

i've also heard our pitch, but it's happened away from home and other teams at St. Andrews have faired fine.

the fitness coaches would be an interesting assertion, the thing I was thinking about is since they have a background in Spain, maybe it is a way they are warming up the players or training them on a specific exercise. Spanish players are certainly known for being a little bit soft to say the least, and the English game is unquestionably more physical than the Spanish league. I would be interested to know the specific exercises that are different from last year.

What is the saying?
1 is a fluke, 2 is a coincidence, 3 is a pattern...

we're definitely hovering on a potential issue

For me it's pure coincidental given the fact that it's happened to Vassell and Jota who both had pre seasons with their previous clubs.

I also wouldn't point a finger at the Spanish coaches simply because it doesn't stack up under scrutiny. How many Spanish players have come to the uk and excelled without picking up hamstring injuries?

For me it's just bad luck.

Once again yesterday there was a hamstring injury. We looked totally unfit again. Second half performances throughout the season (with the exception of Bristol City) have been shocking.

Serious questions need to be asked about the methods used by these 2 Spaniards the board appointed in the summer.

Not just us.

Real Madrid just spent £130 million on Dembele and he got a hammy straight away.
