Who was actually coaching the players? Can't help but believe those rumours that Harry was never a training ground manager.

Something wasn't right, obviously the owners didn't want to wait for it to worsen.

pity they waited so long with Zola - we may not have been in this situation now

Statement on Carsley doesn't bode well

“Lee Carsley, Blues Head Professional Development Coach, will step in as Caretaker Manager and will be given 45 minutes to impress us".

It's showing they'd learnt their lesson. Credit to them.

I know people were loyal to Harry here, but he's done a pish poor job since surviving and you can't really argue with it.

I just got back from the game and i'm shocked to hear this news. The first half we played some good stuff with Boga playing out of his skin, 2nd half we came out and slept walked through the half conceded 3 goals through schoolboy mistakes but what made me angry was the complete lack of fightback and response.

We had no leaders on he pitch, heads went down and not one player was talking to another.

What happened at half time to come out and perform like that?

Just what is going on at our poor excuse of a club?

Wow and I thought getting my car broke into was a headline.

Harry I trusted and I still think he would have got it right but he needed to make the progress count today and he failed.

Thanks for keeping us up last season.

Betvictor now have odds up
https://www.betvictor.com/en-gb/sports/football-specials/manager-specials/coupons/982100/126456098/869307600/0/0/PE/0/0/0/0/0

Some names not previously mentioned (although long shots) include Roberto Manccini and Patrick Vierra :/

Ladbrokes are reporting Alan Curbishly at 6/1. He always appears in one of these 'next permanent manager' when it's us... but I've never known the odds to be that short?

Cotteril Remains the favourite.

Wow at Mancini. I wouldn't put anything past this board... they're quite interesting. You'd think he'd get us up.

I can't keep up with this club. I think I'm having a panic attack!

Wow..I'm still reeling. As if today's game wasn't talking point enough this happens.

Something seriously wrong behind the scenes. It's been an abysmal start to the season but we only completed the squad 16 days ago. I'm not of the opinion that Redknapp's sourced all these signings. Sounds like Vetere & Dein have been involved more than they should have been. I think that's a reason Rowett left the contract unsigned.

But Roberts, Stockdale and N'Doye were signed before a ball had been kicked.

Gallagher has had 4 games without a goal... Brammall has been dropped from the squad altogether, Roberts is now on the bench.

What kind of manager signs a centre half in the Championship £3.5m, decides he doesn't fancy him and spends £2m on another before the same window shuts, only for the defence to be just as weak before any of the signings were made?

I'm with TTA here - they acted quickly and good on them!

Whoever was responsible for sacking Rowett needs to be sacked themselves.

Still don't understand why that happened.

Poor decision making and Blues are reaping the just rewards.

Gutted tbh. Harry was the perfect fit he made us newsworthy he likes to play a certain way and more importantly he understood us the fans.

Starting to think we will never get back to the prem with owners like this.

I also think that the owners could have written the relegation warrant for the club. What manager is going to want to come to the club now? How are the players going to feel? Do we honestly think we will hang on to our players in the summer after all the upheavals?

Wave goodbye to the Championship and wave hello to League One, then League Two, then liquidation.

I'm just very sad. Great character great affinity with the fans. Legend in management. Gave club a big lift when we needed it last season. And we don't reward him with time to turn things around this season.

I have supported the Blues since 1947 and this is breaking my heart. So very sad and so utterly ridiculous. Harry should at least have been given three more games to get the squad to gel.

I should call it a day now Harry, you have done your bit for football and it has mostly been well appreciated. Put your feet up, you deserve it. You certainly don't deserve to be harangued.

Keep right on boys, hopefully it will all come right in the end.

Time...he had enough time to turn things around this season. Can't believe how people would accept 8 games, 3 goals with 1 win as acceptable for someone to carry on. He did wonders saving us last year and he will be fondly remembered for that. Cheers Harry! :drink:

Just another point to add, we had two away performances which were good. Then all of a sudden at home, we get beaten badly, play badly, and it all goes back to square one. If the improvement can't come in this situation, then I don't know how it will, and it shows how there was something fundamentally wrong with this whole set up! Correct time for a change, improvement was NOT coming.

Ambitious managers that are confident of doing well when they have investment?

I'm glad we won't be hiring any more managers seeking content and steady employment. Our owners will flush out the ambitious.

Providing the next appointment is a good one. To be fair, there's not many better than Harry in this country. Wonder if we will look abroad. It's such a difficult league. But look at Monk, they've invested and he's delivering. We need the same. Harry didn't deliver. It's off to the glue factory for him with the old horses.
