This fixture now fills me with dread. I fear the recent upheaval at the club could drain all confidence from the players. Add to that the proposition of facing Gary Rowett again who has now seen two managers depart Blues since he was sacked and the omens are not good. I don't know how true the rumours of a dressing room split are but somehow we've got to get everybody pulling in the same direction. I'd be interested in people's thoughts about this match. |

Cant see us winning now with all the turmoil. However if they suddenly start playing well then we know the reason for the sacking of Harry. Player power en-mass is King. |

Few will expect us to come away with anything from the match, so there's no more threat than another loss as our worst case scenario. I just want to see an uptick in desire and togetherness. The GR narrative means little to me beyond the fact that it would've been nice if he hadn't been sacked to begin with, but I don't need Blues to face the side he currently manages to remind me of that. |

Another loss for me, GR will want to beat us and will have Derby right up for this game, we can't buy a win at the moment and not enough time for Lee Carsley to make much difference, 3-0 Derby |

nick a point at this one and I would be happy, put a stop to the losing mentality that appears to be around at the moment. 1-1. |

Was there any confidence left to drain? Harry is a great lad. But things obviously weren't right. I'm actually quite optimistic with the new set up carsley,Robbo etc. Wouldn't be surprised if we beat Derby!!!! |

Draw, think Carsley will fire up the likes of Gardner, Davis, Morrison - the players we usually rely on to grind out results. |

But they beat Hull in their previous home game 5 -0 ;) I'm afraid I can't see us getting anything. Hope I'm wrong... |

I think reading Carsley's comments it will likely be a return to a more rigid and hard to beat system and more basic instructions that the players are comfortable with. I would fancy us to get something with the squad we now have and the fact Derby themselves have not had a great start and suffered a heavy loss last week, could be a perfect ground to go to and frustrate them and nick a goal at the death. I would go 4411; -------------------Stockdale-------------------------- Nsue------Morrison--------Dean--------Colin Cotterill-----Davis----------Gardner------Maghoma ---------------------Boga-------------------------- --------------------Vassell---------------------------- Subs; TK, Roberts, N'Doye, Gallagher, Juke, Gleeson, Brammall |

Can't say I'd play Dean ahead of Roberts. And I'd certainly have Cotterill nowhere near the team. We need everyone to give 100 per cent Edited by Paul Tait's Tee-Shirt, Sep 19 2017, 02:51 PM.

I think we have suffered from not having a natural lefty in the team at Centre back, unless you drop Morrison, Roberts is not comfortable on the left side so Dean is the only other option. Cotterill divides opinion. He can be frustrating but he is still a decent player, his dead ball delivery would be useful too, plus he's the only natural right sided player we have with Jota out. |

The days of Dean and Morrison starting ahead of Robers are over... Also, no chance Cotts is getting a start. I think Boga will play the wing opposite of Maghoma. And either N'Doye, or Walsh will start. Personally I'd play Walsh behind the striker. |

I would put Brammall at LB and Colin at RB , Bring Roberts back in at CB with Dean. Walsh showed enough in the first half against Preston to get a start he looks at great little player . I am still not sure about Nsue , he gets caught out of position to much . Davis was woeful against Preston I would swap him for Gardner. Give Gallagher another go up front , he will come good I am sure . |

Funny how we all see things differently. I thought Ndoye was very good in the first half on Saturday but then he, like the rest, had a poor second half. He won virtually everything in the air and I think we missed him when he was substituted. Walsh was decent when he came on, but then his play deteriorated considerably and his passing was woeful, often putting us in trouble. He reminds me of Brian Hughes, in both his style of play and in the way the game passes him by. I was very impressed with Colin but he too did some very dangerous passes and put our other defenders and the keeper in real trouble. Nsue played well in the first half supporting the attack, but he was beaten time and time again by their winger and a lot of their threat came from his side of the pitch both in the first half and even more so in the second. I also feel Gallagher comes in for a lot of unfair stick. He made some great runs, but the passes to him weren't good enough. He also did a good job of helping out in defence and constantly chased lost causes and harried their defenders and the keeper. Boga looked bright at first, but he allowed himself to be bullied out of the game. I thought Morrison had a poor game and looked out of place on the left because he did not do one pass with his left foot. I actually thought Dean had a good game in the first half, but they were all poor in the second. Edited by Blacksmith, Sep 20 2017, 06:40 AM.

I want to see every player who is chosen to wear the blue shirt on Saturday give 100% as they owe us. If the mentality of the team is that of those who played well in the 2nd half v Leeds and the 1st half v Preston then we can nick something at Pride Park. |

How many times since our relegation have we had to say this. They do owe us and more. Not Cotters thank you I have seen enough of his haphazard play to last me a life time. I like the Boga Vassell link and that could work well. But we are still without a play maker and it does not matter how you set Blues up at the moment we do not have a play maker. Hence the 2nd half hoof ball on Saturday. Until we have a player who can make those type of passes you would die for then it aint going to get much better. |

I'm going, couple of pints and breakfast in Nottingham first then meeting some mates at 11 in Derby. Think the football comes second to having a skinfull and a laugh now, makes football more enjoyable. |

I think Carsely will bring in a few of the other players at the club to start. Keep things a bit more tighter with Davis on the right, and classic 4-4-2 ------------------Stockdale Colin-----Dean-----Morrison------Grounds Davis-----Kieftenbeld-----Gardner-----Boga ----------Vassell-----Gallagher |

We missed a left footer in central defence, so I feel you could be right about Grounds coming in, but I think he might be part of a back five with wing backs. I also feel we might see Roberts rather than Morrison. A player with a protective mask is ok in most areas of the pitch, but not in central defence because there has to be some element of trepidation when going to head a ball. |

I'm away in Germany all week and back in time for the game but I'm thinking it might be better to stay out here until Sunday. Fractured weakened team under new management that bar an amazing Winning streak is probably not here to stay. Away from home against a good side from a manager that will demand A win against us and will surely expect one. Until Jota AND a fully fit Vass is with us then I expect nothing. I do ask for no more ####### hamstring injuries and for us To get ready for Villa with a fitter and happier team. Beat the Villa and then build upon that. Before then I think we will struggle. ps, it's time for Gardner to come back and start Edited by bluenoseboris, Sep 19 2017, 07:01 PM.
