A job title merely indicates what a person is supposed to be doing but a job description should provide details of what the incumbent is expected to do. As we didn't have a job description for HR we were guided by his job title; Manager. HR changed the coaches but what functions did he perform as a manager after the window closed (apart from driving up from Bournemouth)? Was there any coaching involved? BCFC now have these coaches; Carsley, Williams, Robinson, Groves and Hitchcock. The latter is the goalkeeping coach so that leaves four others to do all of the coaching. Do they each have specific areas of responsibility? When the new manager comes in, do you think that he will bring in new coaches or stick with the ones that have just been appointed? He might just leave all of them in situ with Carsley as first team coach. But then, in that case what will his duties be as manager? Hang on; some clubs have a manager/coach don't they? I have so confused myself that I need to lie down. |

Harry has never regarded himself as a Coach/Tactician which is caused his downfall when Cotterill didn't continue as coach |

I'm not buying into the Harry failed because he didn't have Cotterill claptrap. It's clear the dressing room is divided and therefore anyone coming in needs to harmonise the whole team. We should also expect whoever comes in to bring in their own team. |

coach /kōCH/ noun 1. an athletic instructor or trainer. man·ag·er /ˈmanijər/ noun 1. a person responsible for controlling or administering all or part of a company or similar organization: Two completely different roles and should not be treated as one. A manager would need coaches to apply his will. A coach would need a manager for the guidance to implement his role. |

He has. There's a famous rant where he was called a wheeler dealer who's best work was done in the transfer market and he had a go saying he's much more than that and fluent with tactics etc |
