What an embarrassment. Losing to the worst team in the group. We don't deserve to be in the WC.

Agree

I always believed the USA Men's team were making good progress having qualified for every World Cup since 1990

Looks like a rebuild job needed now

Argentina were very fortunate to qualify , they once again relied heavily on Lionel Messi (just completed his 44th career hat trick) , still the best player in the world IMHO

Biggest shock for me was Holland not qualifying and Italy have to go into the Play Offs where they could face either unseeded Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland

Felt a bit gutted for The Welsh too but I do hope both Irish nations can qualify at the expense of a more well know Euro nation , Sweden , Switzerland , Croatia or Italy who are likely to be seeded

The USA was the best supported Country in recent World Cup Finals.

What Lalas said and the BBC led with.....

Alexi Lalas: US soccer is shaken to its foundations by World Cup exit

... is not even mentioned on the main US sites.

Take that as CNN/Wash Po/ABC/NY Times/ ABC etc.... ( I don't do Fox :D )

- - absolutely NO mention of this 'disaster' :ph43r:

To lose to the bottom country in the group...a country with no hope, finance or future....and miss out on going to Russia...beggars belief.

They'll lose millions...but their fans will be safer, unlike ours.
