Are Villa close to breaching financial fair play (FFP) rules.

This article, plus others - especially on the radio, have indicated that they are deep in the doo-doo - much more so than we are. They banked all on promotion and it blew up in their faces.

Expect the recent departure of John Terry to be followed by many more out of B6.

Shame 'innit ?

Give 'em a 25 point deduction so we can at least finish above them next season

American Peter B Freund, a minority shareholder in baseball's New York Yankees, is lining up a £75m bid to buy Championship club Aston Villa. This is reported in The Times.

Bruceís future as manager is now increasingly uncertain and he may opt to walk out if the clubís finances remain so dire.

Hmmm ! Where have we heard that before ?

The teams Villa will play in their two pre-season friendlies have just been announced:

Rapid Descent and Inter Administration.

I must say, after giving it large to midland teams for years now, Villa fans sure do have trouble taking it on the chin. They can dish it but can't take it. Fragile egos.

To start things off as a minimum and get us round the table...

£40m upfront + Loan him back to us for the season whilst Chelsea pay his wages and loan us Tammy Abraham for the season (also wages free)

25% sell on clause on any future sale + Villa get first refusal to buy back.

Delusional villa fans!!!

I donít understand FFP..

Both villa and wolves gambled big time and the villa failed and breached the rules and potentially face sanctions, but the wolves won and get promoted and donít face sanctions, but would have done if they too failed. leaving aside its the villa, surely there is nothing fair about that < <

This surely means that an owner with limitless funds can just buy their way out of the league thus rendering the other teams with less money no way of competing. The rich get richer etc...

I guess Iím missing the point, so if someone could explain that would be grand thanks **thumbup

Wolves can still be sanctioned by EFL, in principle. It takes time though. QPR have only just lost their final appeal to a £40m fine from buying their promotion.
