I am officially mad. I watched the Chelsea game, and quite enjoyed it. Thought we played well. Sanity in check so far. Then came the Johnson control of the ball from the Anderton shot midway thro the first half. Alan Tyler (I think) made the immediate comment, real time, 'Oh his hands were by his sides', mad persons view ~ they were in front of his body in a ball controlling shape. The ball clearly hit his forearm, possibly both forearms, or at least it did the seven times mad person watched in disbelief. Methinks, 'ah OK the slow mo will show reality'. Slow mo straight after the incident, showed to mad person that he was correct in his view. However Andy Pandy says, 'There was nothing wrong wiith that' Mad person isn't that surprised that the referree didn't stop the game for a penalty, well I am a Blues supporter after all. But now the real madness sets in. After the game, Mr 'I've also lost it' Trevor Francis, doesn't mention the incident, neither do any of the remainder of the Ex-Spurts, despite hours (it seemed) of post match commentary. But the severest madness, Steve Bruce does not say a word. And there's me, in my wildest imaginings, thinking it was the most blatant penalties I have ever seen. Mr Glen Johnson appeared to agree with me, by his body language discomfort after the incident. I am now in total disbelief, please send the straight jacket round to the corner of Tilton Road, where I can be found wandering around in circles, sucking my thumb. |

Even weirder, there appear to be no fellow supporters on this board that give a damn about this blatant penalty, that could have turned the game for their beloved team. I really must sign in as a permanent resident. |

Welcome to the mad house pat, its not unusual to post here and for it to get lost in the mist of time. I my self have been wandering the corridors of the chat room muttering incoherently to my self over long lost threads. Forza Le Blu |

At least I can calm the paranoia on that front then. Thanks for the response Bear. |
