Pennant was a young lad on a lot of money in the capital, Wenger probably had more important things on his mind than Pennant, here he will get the attention and guidance he needs from Bruce.

He needs a sentance, as much as I want him to be playing for us to teach him a lesson and hopefully he will learn from it and mature under the guidance of Bruce

Credit Pennent with at least a modicum of intelligence.

He doesn't need a keeper. Pennent can make his own decisions.

To be fair, I feel more in danger from the aggressive, 'company car', 'gotta be where I'm going 5 minutes faster', bmw/mercedes/audi/other wankey car driver, 'acts like their car is a weapon', 'drives 5 ft from your ass' driver, every single bleeding day, than I would be by the like of Jermain Pennant. Lock those buggas up please!

I dropped a case against an old geezer who ploughed into the back of me on a school road and never even realised he'd had a crash (i could have been a child and he wouldn't have noticed it), once I realised that he' been taking prescription medication and vowed never to drive again. He's now abroad, enjoying his retirement, safe in the knowledge that he's far less likely to have a heart attack. That's rehabilitation for you!

It's all too easy to say lock them up but I just think about who they'd be locked up with and what would they learn in there.

Again, I agree. Any kind of dangerous or agressive driving has the potential to become fatal.

The reason I believe Pennant should go away for a short time is because this isn't the first time he's done it. I'm all for giving people a chance (I'm Guardian reading, politicly correct, rose tinted glasses do gooder remember. Well, I definately read the Guardian) but Pennant has had his chance. And he blew it. The message needs to be clear. We are not going to tolerate the risk you pose to society and will remove you from it. I hope it's a short stay and he (and others) learns from it. Provided the lesson is learned I would love to have him in our team as a great footie player and a good role model for kids who look up to him.

Interview with SB on Sky Sports News. Steve Bruce and Birmingham City will stick by Jermaine Pennant whether or not he goes to prison for his driving offences. Well done SB. That will give Pennant a huge boost of confidence going into the Manure match. It will also show how much he is wanted by this club.

A little feedback plz...................................

Bruce should stand by him. He didn't murder no one, he's not a peadophile.

Who here's thought they weren't THAT drunk, not far from home you can make it, streets are quiet, need a #1/#2 bad whilst inside car, start driving quicker, get pulled?

He's earning big money and he's 22, Pennant can't waste away inside (a house). He just has to be secretive, keep away from the law.

Eh, are you saying it's ok to break the law provided you don't get caught?
