Just like to say what a fantastic game again from the boys in blue........ its so frustrating as the scoreline dosn't reflect the game...... i thought we we're all over them for a lot of the first half and started the second half a little shakey but after that thought we matched (if not exceeded man u ) such a shame but glad to see us playing like that.... a lot of good things to take out of that game............. so once again a big well done to brucey and the boys !!!!!!!!!!!! keep right on !!!!!! |

I have listend to the game and I thought we were good for a point, with all the Injurys we have I think we have done well today, even if the score line does not reflect it. Supa blues |

I just watched Football First and it looks like we are finally getting it together.... I thought we were great! Continual movement, running off the ball, working for each other.... We're back to playing as a Team again.... Will have to tell TF that his name is Nafty not Nifty as well.... I reckon if we could put out our best Team against their best Team we would actually win! Right now we must be able to make up a separate Team of injured players with the exception of the goalkeeper.... |

We did not play badly at all except in the last 3rd of teh pitch. Final ball / shot was awfull. Blake looked totoalyy off the pace yesterday. Harly got anything right. Gray seriously lacks confidence. Neither of them will head the ball. On a good note, Clapham and Melchiot were awesom. Pandiani run his heart out, but had little opotunity apart from hitting teh bar and the chance at the end. Not a target man. Needs to play with Heskey or an on form Blake. Picked up when Morrison came on. Nafty got better as the game went on, and looked prety good. Did things simply and got stuck in. Penant looked class when he had the ball, but we did not get it too him enough. He chased back and was very impressive. We could have had a few goals, and should have put more shots in when there was clear opportunity (Clapham and Gray). Came out the ground quite satisfied. |

Agree with your account of the game and players Dan Lesser. Blake did look slow at times. Maybe he needs time to adjust to the prem speed of play. Nafti looks very comfortable in the midfield holding role and sprayed the ball around quite well. As for Pandiani, he will score goals for us this season and finally Pennent looks to be a class act. He is always looking to be involved in the game. I too was satisfied after the game and 1 thing that i am optomistic about is the fact that we seem to be quite comfortable with the big boys. There really isn't too too much difference between them and us. Especially when you think back to that first game in the prem at Highbury where we were completely overrun. All this with half the team injured. Oh no expectations are going through the roof again. :o Bring on the Scousers. KRO. |

We made a good game of it and had man u worried for a while. At the end of the day when you go to old trafford against an in-form Man U missing 3 of your best players Dunn, Upson & Heskey you cant expect to take anything from the game. |

Dunn Upson Heskey (Forsell) Izzet Stan Diao Anderton Clemence Only Anderton and Clemence are not automatic 1st team players. Maybe Izzet would have to win his place back. How can we expect to compete without these players. If you took players of comparable importance out of any squad (bar Chelski) they would struggle to be in the top half of the table, and I include Arsenal and Manure. But we were not far off in the Chelsea game. Matched Manure for most of the game. It is evident with the way we played against Manure that there is a lack of understanding between our players at the moment, but that will come with time. We'll have an incredible squad if almost all can be fit. |
