Gutted to say I`m missing the next two England games, I would normally be at wembley for every home game. At a wedding this friday & then on hols...hope to God we get the resuits we need, cant wait to look at Brazilian bordellos for next year, at my age cant imagine I`ll be travelling to too many more world cups!!!

I'm quite concerned we won't make it.

If the players perform aswell as they have for their clubs, then there will be no problems.

We shall see, but I predict play-offs.

If we don't qualify from the group of dross, then something is drastically wrong. The only thing going for Hodgeson is he's English. A cowardly appointment.

You know what? I lost interest in England a long time ago.

I loved Italia 90 (I was 11 at the time) - and I loved that England team. I was proud to be an England fan; as I was when we lost in Euro 96.

Gazza and Lineker were my boyhood heroes.

France 98 we were superb and very unlucky to go out to the Argies and I don't think I've ever felt the same about international football. I can't think of many games - apart from the 5-1 over Germany, where we looked a 'good team'.

The likes of Sol Campbell, Paul Ince, Gazza, Beckham etc, do not exist anymore. I thought Rooney would be that player but even he looks disinterested.

Since then it has been disappointment after disappointment - a lot of abject failure for one reason or another. I'm not sure if it is a lack of effort, ability, or a bit of both. They just don't fill me with confidence.

The games I've seen are just dire to watch. No excitement - just a run of the mill win or draw against average European opposition to qualify and then flatter to deceive at the finals.

I will look forward to the World Cup as I love the whole occasion. But that 'feel good' factor for me has gone.

Does anyone else feel the same?

First world cup was france 98, epic! then Euros 2000, saw us beat Germany in charloire! fantastic, never went to Japan, biz was bad at the time, then Portugal 2004 that french game was the most heartbreaking game ive ever seen (alongside Tottenham relegation day).
Germany 2006 best world cup experience imaginable German people are fantastic, that **** Mclaran didn't qualify for Austria 2008 (I was at wembley for croatia wally in the brolly defeat)
Then went to South Africa in 2010, hated everything about the place and our football was dire. 2012 was the last Euros which I missed classed with pre booked holidays (numpty me!!!) now sitting with rosary beads in hand hoping to qualify for Brazil, which I will please god be attending.

I only started following England because I wanted to go to glamorous places and see great players playing against us. I`ve loved the trips they have been fantastic.

KRO & C`mon England..

Both games are being televised live over here (beginning at 1:00 P.M.) and I will be watching with baited breath. It is the Poland game that really has me concerned. I still remember what happened 40 years ago when they played to a 1-1 draw at Wembley to eliminate England from qualification and cause the firing of Alf Ramsey. This England team reminds me somewhat of Blues in that they always keep their supporters on pins and needles and in a state of suspense.
Let's hope for the best!

Good to see the press not doing anything to rock the boat and really getting behind the team they all claim to support this time.

Oh no, wait. Ah.

Good second half performance. Thought Montenegro were awful.

Poland will be tougher opposition I think. Should be very interesting tuesday!
