That article doesn't clarify the situation at all. The comments about a medical are fairly throw away comments and they were from the weekend when we all now know he wasn't actually here having a medical.

Forsell himself says he had some talks with them, but some talks could just be a phone call or a quick meeting, it doesn't mean he agreed terms but didn't sign cause he failed a medical.

Forssell has admitted that he had talks with Everton but that he decided to come back here after talking to Bruce.

That doesnt mean we are second best and that doesnt mean he had a medical. The medical stories have been denied by Forssell and the club.

He may have had a conversation with Everton and decided that his future lay elsewhere.

None of that matters now, our club were happy with the results of the medical, and he is our player. End of.

Be interesting to see what Forssell's reaction is when he sees that report. If it's not true I'd suggest he or the club politely asks Everton to retract their statement.

but it does state he had a medical which of course Forssell has denied ?

Besides if he did have a medical there would be doctors and other witnesses present, so unless Everton can come up with attributable statements from medical staff stating when and where this took place they should formally retract the statement.

doesnot say whether he passed or failed it though, and as it is the offical website for everton, you would have thought they would like to say he failed if he did

Everton are a one season wonder, everyone can see it and unfortunetley for them forsell isnt stupid enough to not see this. They think they can get players with 4 games of champs league and a crap season, who are they kidding? just cant take it that even with champs league qualifiers they cant attract players

I think Everton could not meet his wage demands. Everton look to sign everyone because of their Chumps league status. I am very happy that The Force chose us over Everton. One thing I caution fans over, is don't expect the old Force straight away. He will need 10 or more games to get fully match fit. This is why I think SB will get The Rifle, so that he can rotate with The Force.

I interviewed Mikael for a feature in this month's Blues Magazine (out this week!).

I asked him about a medical at Everton and he confirmed that he didn't have one up there.

He passed the medical at Blues on the day he signed.
