I signed the petition too. Anyway, let's not get started on that again. I agree with your original point. The amount of times I've been reprimanded by the middle aged woman next to me, I became scared to open my mouth. Then she'd have the cheek to ask me why I wasn't singing...erm, because you've just had a go at me for swearing. Why she didn't mention this to the massive fat bloke who sat a couple of rows back, I don't know. "Sheeeaaarer - you're a w*****r" or "Poll - you're a w*****r" or "Cole - you're a..." I think you get the picture. Bizarre! Also, I didn't light up during the whole of last season because I'm so conscious of all the anti-smoking whingers. The one vice of mine they haven't been able to surpress is my penchant for a swift 5 pints before the game. Have it! The problem is that now everybody has to sit in a specified seat, we can't congregate together like we used to. Tried to get a season ticket in The Tilton last year, but had to move at the last minute (at cost) as my mate couldn't get one there. Ended up right in the middle of The Kop. Very dull indeed. May go for The Kop corner this year or even The Railway End. Long gone are the days when we could all stand together in a huddle in The Kop. Sob! |

As much as we'd all love it, it won't happen. The Hillsborough disaster was a sad event but dreadful policing, poor investment in safety and hooligan cages were to blame more than the terracing itself. Hillsborough and Bradford were obviously the catalyst for all-seater stadia. However, I also submit to the theory that all seater stadia were introduced not only for safety but also to push up prices in stadia, pricing out the hooligan element. The problem is that it has not only priced out the hooligan element, it's also priced out the well behaved grass root fans. The question is how far can prices keep rising before the ground is completely over run by the tutting brigade? |

i seem to recall there is discussion going on somewhere that limited standing is being considered by some councils (can't remember where) and i for one would welcome it. it can be done safely if done correctly and stewarded properly. i would even pay the st price for the privelege. its not nice for some folk to hear swearing, farting etc, but you know what you're getting before you go; my message is, if you don't like it don't go down!! for instance, i dont like listening to prayers, so i dont go to church...........easy, easy, easy,......you shuuutt uuuppppp :D  |

And you draw your conclusions from where? Maybe some people who feel they have the right to voice their opinions are the same ones who were there long before the golds and Sullivan even made their money? But are we really still on this? People who don’t want bowyer aren’t anti bruce, board or blues… this prawn sandwich stuff has been done to death, got to be honest I haven’t ever seen a prawn sandwich (down the blues or anywhere else) plenty of balti pies and stale larger in the tilton... does that count! |

Why is not wanting a troublemaker at your club "PC"? I too agree with the original point - it's not just at football games - we had people around us at the Duran Duran gig there moaning they couldn't see cos we were dancing - despite the fact there was seating in the Tilton road stand for people that just wanted to sit and watch. |
