As one of the 600+ to be thrown out of their seat in the main stand, I can tell you that 600+ people signed the petition to attempt to overturn that decision, you all know that we were not even given a hearing.

It would appear that our board only want petitions to be favorable to them, not for the use of supporters like us.

Mr Sullivan: Live by the sword.......

and if alot of you could see the empty seats in the new posh area of the main stand on some match days you will realise the fans were right on this issue as well.

Thanks Rags :D

Yeh Rags, great work. I must remember to congratulate you when:

a) we are limited on the number of players we are able to sign, due to the Trade Union style online picketing
B) the squad itself becomes restless due to the behaviour of a few
c) our best players think not only twice, but three or four times before signing a new contract
and d) whe the board themselves seriously now think about packing it all in

Did you not think about the repercussions of this when you merrily went on your way with your keyboard? And I thought that the British justice system was apparently supposed to work. Well in your mind this appears not to be true.

I was under the obviously wrong impression that Bowyer wasn't guilty. Are you and your 202 mates going to do this for every transfer?

I can''t wait.......

so am i more guilty than those who forced Gronks out by booing him. (i've never booed a Blues player) ????????

At least my opinion is about someone who ISN'T a Blues player and was at least timed BEFORE he signed for us.

This is being done because the vast majority of people who support this club are decent people who are proud to to be associated with the club and the city. Every one of us champions BCFC and the city of birmingham to our friends wherever we are in the world, that's part of being a supporter. I put BCFC in front of most things in life (too many to be honest). People that know me would to a man describe me as a Blues fanatic. However, I won't put the success of the club ahead of the basic right of all the clubs supporters, regardless of ethnicity to be able to give the club their wholehearted support on a matchday. How can any fan that deplores racism back this transfer?

I don't care if Lee Bowyer hasn't got a racist bone in his body, hopefully he hasn't, but the fact remains that through his actions his name has become synonymous with race hate, the BNP, combat 18 and everything that they stand for. This isn't about whether lee bowyer is a violent racist or not it's about whether the club bearing the name of Britain's most multi-cultural city wants to associate itself with such a player and all the baggage that comes with him.

I actually feel some sympathy for Bowyer (the evidence largely demonstrated that he was nowhere near the student in leeds), and even more for DS (the best chairman in England bar none) but my loyalties lie more with the people of birmingham and the many black and asian fans who turn up at St Andrews week in and week out. I'm not prepared to alienate those people for an extra 10 points a season and thats why i signed the petition.

In the long run much good will come out of this. This stand against racism will help us to attract more not less players in future, more not less fans in future, and more not less councillors willing to back the casino scheme.

Football needs to put it's house in order and I'm glad that the stand is being made at Birmingham City.

Keep Right On.

Charlton fans have been discussing the BCFC petition and have suggested starting a petition themselves .............. because they WANT Bowyer back.

we start a petition saying we WANT the Bow back, he sees it, is well chuffed, takes a drop in pay because he wants to play for a club where he's wanted and tra-la-la, everyone's a winner Rodney.

I think LBs past is a bigger issue than what he "might" do for BCFC in the next season. If any of you sign him up chaps really thought he was very hard done by at the trial in Leeds then please speek up.

i'm speaking up as suggested. one thing you could teach your nine year olds is to uphold and believe in the law and the british court system....yes, the court system that COMPLETELY EXONERATED lee bowyer of all charges in the case in leeds.
you could also teach them that everyone makes mistakes; your example of pennant being a perfect one; dont get done for drink-driving once, do it twice to make sure!!!! and because you have the good fortune that no-one is passing by at 4am you wont kill anyone...really, i wonder what you people are on sometimes, and the examples you must be setting the kids i can only shudder at.....

There are many more reasons why people don't want Lee Bowyer signing for this club, Proccy. Bowyer's conduct on the pitch continues to be deplorable. His off-the-field antics can be ignored if you wish, but any player who deliberately stamps on an opponent's head, or destroys his club's promising season because he feel obliged to run and attack a team mate on the pitch is not someone I want to see in a Blue shirt.

11 yellow cards and three red cards last season. The last red card ended Newcastle's season - they went on to be knocked out of two cup competitions with barely a whimper and lost seven of their last nine matches to finish below us in the table.

Bowyer's hiding from the truth. If he feels he's nothing to hide, then sign for Birmingham City and win over the fans by paying more than just lip service to the anti-racism campaign. Oh, and it helps if you don't lose your temper on the pitch too - you can't even trust him to leave his team mates alone, never mind the opposition.

Bowyer worth an extra 10 points a season? Any points he gained for us would be negated by the number of matches he missed through suspension.

If all David Sullivan has to worry about is the opinons of a few fans, he has an easy life. It has all been said already, but this is about a player who is not part of BCFC. None of the board are so juvenile as to be thinking of selling their shares in the club in a hissy fit, surely? Cos if they did, my money would be on them having looked for an excuse so to do, perhaps in the same way that Bowyer has perhaps looked for an excuse to up his ante in negotiating the wages on offer.

Proccy says Bowyer has been exonerated in court. How many times exactly has he been exonerated then? Every time he has been to court?

Nah. We want players of the personality and calibre of Pandiani, honest hardworking family man, role models to the kids who watch the Blues. Anyone who wants their kids admiring the antics of Bowyer wants their heads examining IMHO.
