The simple truth is the Blues are not a glamourous club, when the chance comes along to sign a top player (even if he comes with baggage) like Pennant did, it is the managers and boards decision alone.
Does anyone believe Blues would have a sniff of LB if he didn't come with baggage
Does anyone believe Blues would have a sniff of GP if he didn't come with Baggage
You have a manager who God only knows how persuaded players of the class of Dunn, Heskey, Upson, Melchiot, Forsell, (Does anyone believe Blues would have a sniff of MF if there wasn't a fitness doubt) , but he needs more class still, so why put any spanners in the works is beyond me.

I first saw the Blues play in 1949 (56 years ago) over the decades I have seen many NEARLY great blues sides, but always short of 1,2,or 3 class players but they never arrived.
Are we going to see history repeating itself?
Are we content to be cannon fodder for the Premiership Elite?
So get behind the board and manager they are all we have.

Stan
