I've read so much rubbish on this board today conerning Bowyer. We've even started to throw debate concerning how to define the majority/minority fan. At the end of the day people on this board are entitled to have an opinion either towards or against the signing of Bowyer.

Who cares whether a view is the majority or minority opinion. At the end of the day people in power (Mr Sullivan, Brucie the Media) will publicise which ever view they feel fits the bill. Maybe this is just cover to explain why he may not want to come..maybe its bowyer lookin for the easy way to say no to Bruce.

Think we know football far to well now to ever think that players/managers ever get influenced by a message board which at the end of the day is full of OPINIONS.

sorry, but to some people its more than just "opinions"!!! to me, for instance, when a quality player refuses to come to my club because of muppets signing ridiculous petitions. who are you to say people dont read these boards and get offended? everybody is entitled to their opinion, but to translate that into a stupid petition with less than 100 genuine signees says it all really. maybe sb,ds and lb have over-reacted, maybe they haven't, maybe sb and ds now feel less inclined to stay at and finance a club that questions their judgement. maybe lb was offended by the petition and maybe he wasn't. the fact is, we've missed out on a damn good player because of the petition, fact....in future, lets express opinions and leave it at that. let the people who's job it is to buy/sell players do their jobs eh??

Proccy once again your out of order, why call all the people that signed the petition MUPPETS.

All they have done is expressed and opinion just like you have by calling them muppets.

Now in truth by your own beliefs are a MUPPET because you have voiced your opinion.

That is all anyone on her ever does and will continue to do so, what some say may offend or anger others but likewise will happen someday.

So why everyone is arguing amongst one another is beyond me, this player has now become biggerthan our great club and has also divided its great supporters.

Lets please all let it drop, is it worth it.

Im more interested when my new kit is being launched

I remember when he signed for us....

It was mahem outside Upton Park, about 20% of fans had a protest against him and the rest of us were sing "Lee Bowyer, Lee Bowyer, Lee Bowyer".

He was rubbish...

Proccy grow up mate, where does it mention show or prove that i actually signed the petition you plank.

All i stated was that i was actually torn on the Bowyer situation i never gave in to either petition, just merely had my own opinion on the matter, but never chose to slate and abuse others for theres wether i agreed with it or not

For me, the important issue is not that we did/did not sign Bowyer, but that our fans have publicly gone out and QUESTIONED THE JUDGMENET OF THE MANAGER IN THE MOST INSULTING MANNER POSSIBLE.

As I have said on a nother thread, what message does this send out to potential targets. I do not think Bowyer is that good a play, and an idiot, but if he came I would have accepted it. It is what the manager wanted for his team, That is the way football runs. Football is not a democrayc, and if it was everything would fall into choas as nothing would ever get done.

I personally think it shows the mindset of the player to refuse to come to a club because 100 of it's 30000 supporters didn't want him.

If that is in fact the reason he wouldn't come to us.

And for Bruce to get all high and mighty about it is pathetic. He's disgusted with the way his decision has been questioned?! Welcome to being a football manager Steve!
Albion fans were calling for Robson to leave after about 3 games, did he come out and say how disgusted he was with them all?! And I'm damn sure that was more than a hundred.

The real muppets/morons/.......(whatever else you want to say) are the people who really believe that because of this petition we won't be signing Bowyer. It's all about money.

Alfboy .. I like what you have just posted ...other than the maths! .. neither side can claim the silent 30,000 ... you have to presume that they would ' tend' to split in an equal ratio to those voicing opinions in the forum (a professional survey taker could argue with this point to some extend). .... but at the end of the day it is probably just down to money as you say ...or saving the managements face at the expensive of well meaning and worried fans
