We must try and help, maybe too late, but i am sure we could raise money and awareness for blues ladies team, they have good players, and finished well last season

they need funding, I reckon I can help them get sponsorship, well willing to try,

and i do believe the blues supporters would give to help...

please show support.... we may lose out, as womens football may start growing, and best to be in from start

i would fdefinitly help the womens team has as much right to be well funded and be able to play football

why i dont know

it s a shame it happened this year as well, i was just starting to learn to drive and was going to take my girlf, to the games as she is a keen footballer and likes the womens game

also the amount of blues ladies in the national team it doesnt seem right that hey have to go under

we must save them, i am trying to find out what can be done, have an accountant friend who i am trying to get hold of, who can normally blag creditors etc, so who knows, have asked KB if they can bridge pending fund raising and sponsorship deals, MUST BE POSSIBLE....

lets make it happen

does anyone have contacts at the ladies team / set up?

I would donate, but wouldn't watch the matches so i haven't voted. I just don't like watching womens football I don't find it entertaining! This is not saying it is bad I just can't get in to it?

i have just seen that spearmint rhino "strip" event is coming to st andrews, £65.00 per person, and u get feed and a lap dancer, guess u r willing to pay for that .... they should sponsor the ladies team!

if 250 men attend, that is £16k in ticket sales, they will all spend £30 to £100 on lap / private dancing say average £50, thats £12500.. if we organised a monthly strip event (not the players, but pros) we could raise at least £5k a mth £60k a year....

show u how easy it should be to get money from men, maybe i should do a few charity lap dances! LOL

£60k a yr from "rhino" events
£50k from match day collections (say 4 games)

£110k from new stuff...

that the "debt" of £75k plus additional 35k in coffers for yr 1
joke!

Quite happy to kick in a few dollars.

My Aussie team (South Melbourne) has a very successful womens team. One thing we have done which has been quite successful was to play the women as a curtain raiser for the mens.

This gets them a healthy crowd, at least for the second half - so helps with profile for sponsors and to attract better players.

Never heard of the Harlem Globetotters? Netball was first known as 'women's basketball.

I reckon Morrison's should be approached for sponsorship. With their proximity to the Blues' ground the club should try to get them involved.

at moment we have 45 votes, of which

30 would donate, a healthy 66.6%

8 have interest, but no donation

7 are stuck in old world, bless them, and wish them luck in relationships, they will need it!

Sam,

Just a thought......
What about prducing a BCFC Calendar - The club must know a
good publisher, who could print it for you........

That would help swell the coffers.

In the short term, I do hope the club/Board/directors help keep
BCFC ladies afloat, because it would be much harder to restart it.

And I beleive it could be a great P.R. exercise for the club - as well
as the Ladies themselves.

If they play for Birmingham City I supprt them.
Having so many of the England team was great.
I would support an over 65 team if they played for Birmingham City - no I'm not ageist either, but I think it would be a bit slow paced.

if we do get a over 65s league then at least we would have competition against villa first team for our over 65's :)

it would be a poor shame for the ladies team to go under gotta get it sorted out

No disrespect to Australian 'football' but there's no way that we'd allow women to trudge all over the pitch before a vital Premiership game. They do that over in Oz because both the men's and women's game needs a boost in terms of profile.

Football is already by far and away the #1 sport in England and there's no way that playing the women before the men would attract a bigger crowd or more sponsorship.

Like I say, the pitch is too precious anyway. Not that I'm against the idea by the way, I'm just saying why it'd never happen.
