Why didnt he play against northampton?

Surely it cant be another injury. If thats the case and with dunnys september/october return then we need to act real quick or the only flair we will see down at the blues this coming season will be the ones worn by some of the fans!

Somebody, please tell me hes not injured. I was looking forward to seeing him try to justify his wages over the coming season.

On the official site they just say that he was a "suprise omission" from the squad.

Hope he isn't injured again. :(

I dont think it was due to his injury. I would imagine that Izett and Forssell were not used as the pitch was very slippery and Bruce didnt want to risk any further injuries caused by the playing surface.

he took a heavy knock (hip?) at derby saturday, i'd hope sb decided not to risk him - however, after watching him saturday he needs some games to get up to speed.......deport will sort him out if he plays, they're pretty sharp in midfield...

He took a heavy knock to his hip at Derby, and was limping near the end of that games 2st half, think they left him out to recover, nothing serious...I hope

As this is a thread called 'Izzet' thought id post a view about this season with him in the team (If fit, I HOPE HE IS)

I for 1 am looking forward to a blues team with him in it this season. I think alot of people have forgotten what a good footballer this guy is. Was it last season or the one before when he had the highest number of assists for the season?

With him in the middle with Nafti/Clem/New Signing, Pennant out on the right and Forssell and Heskey up front I for one can see us bagging alot more goals than last season. People are so concerned by our 'lack of quality in midfield' I am not.

With Izzet fit, and maybe Dunn, It will be like 1 or 2 new signings.

The Future is bright....

Izzet, Mario & Forssell are dur to play a FULL 90 minutes against QPR on Saturday.

So I guess all three were rested yesterday.

Well it did pour down yesterday, and the grass would be slippy.

We have just spent £3m on The Fors etc and we cant risk having the 'gamble' end up to be a bad one

Very shrewd of Bruce I think!!! Again showing his is a very intelligent manager!

I've been through major knee reconstruction (Psycho Goalie) and what they need is time to build the muscle up around the joint. Playing either of them the other night wuold of been very foolish! And come the winter, Fors and Izzet will be much stronger and will be able to deal with the typical english weather!

With Dunn still a couple of months away we simply cant afford to loose Izzet so its a sensible decision from Bruce.

What it does highlight (not that its needed) is how badly we need another top central midfielder.

If Izzet were to get injured again at the moment we would be in a right mess.

According to WM Izzet and Forsell will both be playing a full 90 minutes against QPR.
