Just accessed my bank account online and chucked £20 the way of the ladies (not in that sense) :o

Not really into women's football but seeing as they wear the Royal Blue I thought I'd do my bit.

thanks, we need to inform as many people as we can, even if just a few quid each..

a ) it will show bcfc board that the fans care, and can fund.

b ) show sponsors that there are people out there who will see the team.

Lets face it is the FANS who keep BCFC plc going, our season tickets are our "donations" to support the club, our sky subs pay even more, and the corporate sales are fans as well.... they cannot ignore their customers, no buiness can, and survive....

and this is "positive" fan power, not negative re "bowyer" and "Glazer", we are trying to show BCFC what matters....

BCFC have offered all the help they can, via match day funding raising, and cost saving negotiations on behalf of ladies team, and resource to find sponsor. But as yet cannot facilitate "loan" or "underwrite costs" (pending fund raising).

It is the financial bridge that is the hurdle, forgive the terrible english there!

I am willing to donate but what happens to the money if the required amount is not raised.

if the team does cease 100% then money will be refunded, please keep note of your donation, and reciept if paid via "actual" branch

if via internet keep a print out of transaction.

NO ONE is going to keep un used money.

If the ladies set up don't get the cash or sponsor or guarantee it needs there are a few options

1 stops all activity and ceases to exist, the girls teams (like any youth teams) may continue, funded seperatly by parents and usual stuff (donations returned)

2 lose its top players, but maintain a team, knowing that relegation would be almost 100% certain, and 1 very poor season (in this instance small donations may be kept to fund this lower level of activity)

Obviously I would like to assure those thinking of donating that this is a genuine need, and NO ONE is making any money/profit, to money needed is for actual operating costs £25,000 approx per year and players expenses and wages £50,000 per year. (as about 50% of team are now professional) u can work out they don't get much! £75k is an annual budget for the whole team and all costs!

there companies that are being talked to today who are interested, but these take time.... i am sure i am boring you all too much going on about time/ financial bridging issue, but that is all it is..

I think Perry Deakin is fed up with me pestering him.... (sorry Perry, but have had to do it..)

Just made my donation through internet banking, trouble with internet banking is it takes 3 days to get to the account, if people can do it another way it would probably be a better option.

Wildy - Ian has wrote in another reply that all money will be refunded if this does happen. If you have done it by internet banking then do a print out of the transaction, if done in branch then keep a copy of the reciept!

I did mine by internet and it said that it would get to you by Friday. This was from a Barclays account so I assume people who transfer money from Barclays are ok. What about the ones that won't come through to you until after the weekend? Is this past your deadline??

it is the effort that is counting, if both the board and the guys running the ladies club see that money is coming in they can act accordingly, if they decide to continue than money will still need to flow wel after the weekend

Firstly......a great big thank you to you all....the greatest fans in the world.

This is Steve Shipway, Chairman of Birmingham City Ladies FC.

Since Perry Deakin delivered the news that the club were not going to follow through the Letter of Intent that we had in June to take over all commercial responsibilities, including costs for our First and Second Teams, an incredible ground swell of interest has emerged from you, the True Blue fans.

As a result of great efforts by Ian Coley and Sam Jordan we are still negotiating with the Club to underwrite costs so that we can continue with the fantastic achievements of the last five years.

I don`t want to go into the politics and history at this stage. The task now is to keep the Womens Club alive and keep bringing magnificent PR to this great club of ours. Many of you have asked how you can donate by credit card so we have set up a temporary facility on the link below. You can also reach this site on www.weemow.com

We really need to show the club tangible evidence that the fans want this to happen and we want them to underwite this season`s costs against your interest and the other positive signs this week.

This is all about showing the board that the financial viability is there.

Help us by donating and lobbying the club to support us in real terms.

Once again ......thank you

make a donation
