We had our chance, both Souness and Sheperd have said that he is showing a great attitude and he is playing well (MOM in their last 2 games they said on the radio this morning) he is going nowhere.

You are almost certainly right, but there will allways be a doubt in my mind, one thing is for sure the petition didnt help.

Some people on here said Bowyer was no good, I find that more hard to beleive than the petition.

Bowyer turned us down once already, he was never coming to Blues and no doubt never will. I'd rather us sign players that want to be here. He's happy at Newcastle let him stay there. Personally I think Barton of Man City would be better, at least he can still improve!

Personally I'm glad we didn't sign him, petition or no petition and that the risk of him ending up here is over IMO he is bad news all the way.

I was willing to let SB and co make the choice but even before the emergence of the petition and the ruckus it caused I didn't want him here as didn't other members of the silent majority. To this day I have yet to meet anyone face to face who did want to sign him and this is amongst some who signed the petition and others like myself who didn't.

I have asked about 10 people of which only 1 was against the attempt to get him here, surely the mail poll was the true reflection of the fans feelings on this, anyway it is over, he isnt coming, time to move on.

I think people are getting bored and frustrated with the lack of signings, I am sure SB feels the same way.

Well thats the problem with silent majorities/minorities you are never quite sure which they are :D

However this is finally and fully been put to bed by his staying at Newcastle which in my view is the end of it.
