Stan hasn't figured yet this pre-season due to groin trouble.

I thought he'd be back in plenty of time for the new season after his operation and the fact that he hasn't been playing for Australia this summer. I hate to say it but it sounds like age is catching him up a bit now, like Kenny Cunningham.

Stan's still quality but the latest operation was apparently minor. Let's not write him off just yet. I do think this will be his last season in England though. I think he'll sign on for a club in the A-League (possibly in Queensland) for one season after this and then hang up his boots in his plush Gold Coast appartment.

He's been a hell of a servant for us though. Big hero of mine.

Sorry all, wrong key hit on last post

Point I was trying to make

Stan is a great servant to the club and has IMO always given all. Don't write him off yet, he will without doubt be a threat this season. I cant wait to see him play again.

Lazza is a real true blue in my eyes and it does sadden me to see him coming to the end of his carrer but we have to think ahead.

Personally, with David Dunn missing for the start of the season, i would try giving Julian Gray a push on the left wing. He had a stop-start last season but on the whole looked like a very promising player and i'd like to see him given another chance.
