Loan signing? I realised this today: Pirlo/Rui Costa Gattuso/Vogel /Seedorf/Ambrosini, Serginho/Jankulovski AC usually play Pirlo, Gattuso & Seedorf. AC won't drop Maldini at left back, they kept Kaladze for left back. They didn't sign a world class 7m player Jankulovski to be benched. I think they'll play Jankulovski in midfield, knowing he can defend aswell as attack, he'll fit in their 4-3-3, and won't be used at left back. Ambrosini said he wanted to leave before, now he definitely won't make the first team (Seedorf, Vogel and Jankulovski). I think AC will let Ambrosini leave, but we should try for Seedorf too. AC were 'unhappy' with Seedorf's form last season, Jankulovski's probably taking his place in midfield. Which is why they've tried Seedorf behind the forwards, back up to Kaka's role. Would Seedorf (a defensive midfielder) allow himself to be a sub 'off the forward' player, in a world cup year, when Van Basten has Van Bommel, Davids, Van Der Vaart, Sneijder and Landzaat in CM? |

Seems to be plausible. SB has been interested in him for ages and he has moved down the pecking order at Spurs. |

It's only the person on the Blues website who wrote the article who mentioned an unamed midfielder, Bruce's quote is just that he's in talks with a midfielder. My moneys on Bowyer. |

I got the impression that Brown was more of an offensive-minded 'runner', a la Bowyer. TBH whilst he is not a glam name, I did mention him at the start of the summer as possible as he WOULD improve us - he is better at opening up play than anyone we have other than Dunn and Pennant. He can also put a foot in. That said, considering we have enquired about players of the calibre of Landzaat he would be a bit of a step-down. |

Brown is an attacking midfielder as you say. He is not a bad player at all and I believe that Wigan are rumoured to be planning a bid for him as well. Landzaat's club has said it would take a huge offer to make them sell him. they have already turned down a £2mil bid from Fiorentina as it was nowhere near their valuation of him. I think we would be looking at having to bid around £5mil for him - too high for a 29 year old IMO. |
