I have been hearing on the grapevine, that Kilkenny has been doing really well as has Kuqi (who I saw in Touchwood on Tuesday)

What the plan with these two breaking into first team (bench players)

Come on guys fill me in!

Kilkenny has put in some really good performances and i am sure he has really pressed his case for a chance this season. Just before the start of the pre season tour in Norway, he did an interview with BluesWorld and he said that he and Burce were unsure of how it would play out this season, whether he would be given a chance here or go back on loan for a few months to a Championship side. After his performances, I firmly believe that Bruce will decide to use Kilkenny as cover for Izett.

Kuqi has played well and scored a few goals but i dont think he will be given the chance yet. He still needs to do some work on his finishing as he misses 3 times the amount that he scores (hard to believe with his strike rate) and he needs some competitve match practise. A loan to a Champtionship team will do him the world off good until December and then I am sure he will get the chance when he returns. A very very good prospect who will be one of the premier leagues stars in a few years to come.

All just my opinion of course!

Both are not ready for the first team seen them 3 times in pre season good players will make it in a year or two , we must guard against thinking because they are doing alright in reserves/ first team subs that they are ready. If we are well safe or have clinched a place in europe then will bve the chance to see, until then loans to CCC would be of benefit

Kilkenny will be used as the back up to Izett as an attacking midfielder

He is out of contract at the end of the coming season and I would imagine that he would have wanted to get into the 1st team a few times before agreeing to sign another contract. I have seen pretty much all of the games that he has played for us and he has always looked impressive. I think, given a couple of subs appearances to ease him into it, he will make the step up to the premiership with ease.
